Kaep didn't disrespect America. His original protest was an attempt to bring awareness about trigger-happy cops killing innocent people. But I think he went about it the wrong way.

When he chose to take a knee during the Veterans Day celebration when vets from many past wars were in attendance being honored, he was disrespecting the flag. The same flag that many of the vets seen come hone covering their friends and family. kaep should have taken that day off. It was in poor taste.
Wearing the pig socks was a shitty move too.
Wearing the Castro shirt was a douche move as well.

The simple fact of the matter is that yes he's good enough to be on a roster but the color all owners love more than any other color is green.

From the owner's viewpoint his talent isn't worth the potential loss of money from pissed off fans, bad PR, etc. As much as his defenders post stats, point to the SB, and so on the fact of the matter is that he's a backup level QB. He never grew as a QB from 2012 and once the read option died his effectiveness dropped as well.

I actually believe the owners would love it if he signed somewhere so they can put to rest the narrative that he's being blackballed and move on after the initial backlash and put it to rest. But none of the owners want to be the guy that does it which is why he remains unsigned and likely will never sign at this point.
