He's better than a lot of the backup QB's in the League and I' say 7-8 of the starting QB's.
No he is not.
He has a career rating under 89. Career completion % under 60.

I've got nothing against Kaepernick getting another chance.

But the people who sabotage every young QB getting their shot by saying it should be him instead do far more harm than good.

I'm also genuinely excited to see what Hodges could do. He did great in camp and pre-season and I love how he came out firing last week and the moxie he showed.

So why does a guy who's not been with the team and out of the league for three years deserve to start over him again?

He doesn't.

He had a shot to get back into the league and probably as a starter...DEN wanted him. But he wasn't willing to come down off his salary demands so they decided to move on.

Now...after 3 seasons he's willing to be a back up?

To your point...I think he probably is better than some back ups, and maybe a starter or two, but it's doubtful that you're going to win very many games with a starter off the street essentially so you don't need to over spend.

Example...PIT could certainly use a QB, but they're looking like a 5 to 6 win team this yr...Kap is not going to make them a 10 win team so why bother paying the price?

I think he just wants to play.....I doubt he's asking for any crazy amount of $ and from what I have read......he's not siting on the couch eating a lot.....he's kept himself in good physical shape.

Matt freaking Barkley got a chance with the Bills after being out of the League for a few years.....I don't think anybody would say he's a better QB than Kaep.

My thoughts exactly. It's not worth the rifts it's going to cause within the fan base/locker room in what's becoming a lost year contending-wise.

Physical shape and Football shape aren't the same. Besides he Carrie's TOO much baggage with him.

I'm just not getting why he won't go showcase himself in another league if he just wants to play. It does seem more and more necessary the longer he's removed from the game, doesn't it?
