someone is taking Snell/Ilyasova and not giving any money back?

Please never change....ya gotta love this forum, etc.
If it is for the Bucks to buy J.R. Smith's contract, it means exactly this.

I'm not really sure what the Cavs could realistically get for Smith. That 30th pick has value but not if they are going to be stuck with 2 bad contracts for a couple of years.

No, not really. I guess you don't get the purpose of taking bad contracts. It's to get picks either now or later---assets.

Smith's contract is most likely WAY more valuable than the 30th overall pick.
2 bad contracts? Why does it matter?
They aren't competing this upcoming season and Gilbert has shown he has no problem with it.
Ilyasova's contract is non-guaranteed in 20-21 so they only have that contract for one year.
Snell has a player option in 20-21.

Not that matters bc the Cavs would want more than the 30th overall pick but I guess you have not seen what Gilbert has done over the last year. He takes bad-meidocre contracts for picks. He took Brandon Knight, Delly, Henson. All aren't plan for the future, they are simply taking these contracts to acquire assets for the future for either trades or young players from draft picks.

I never understand why people want to ban people like that.

The only people that should be banned are people that are clearly only interested in disrupting discussions.

He may be a goof but he at least talks basketball.

I concur

He participates

If you don't have a better suggestion and you quote on a post that requires to provide one, it means that you know better and can provide the alternative.... Otherwise SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH UP! ...stupid troll!

Shhhh the adults are talking.

I guarantee the Cavs will get a better draft pick for that Smith contract than the 30th pick overall. You want to bet on it? I wouldn't, you have been wrong on basically all the bullshit you have said so far, while barely speaking the English language.

NOBODY takes you serious. Look up the definition of a troll bc you clearly do not understand, kid.

I guess that re-signing for the maximum amount of money allowed for the maximum number of years allowed, is considered "team friendly" in Milwaukee.
When did this happened?

Ok...clearly when I said we could do woj's job I did not mean our little Bucks' fan friend.

Seems like an over-reaction after what happened in the playoffs.
Though, it's crazy what is happening right now with Boston.
And the Sixers could very well be losing their key FA.

This draft could be all over the place with trades, sign and trades, and zaniness.

NBA is non-stop craziness until free agency calms down.

I feel like you are arguing for the sake of arguing and didn't understand what I was saying. I was explicitly saying that the Cavs would likely want more than the 30th pick for Smith if they are going to have to take on salary for 2020-2021.

OTOH, Smith's value is determined solely by how many teams want his contract.

Looks like the Lakers might be interested in taking that contract.

^^^When you said this I thought you meant something else with this comment. My fault.

Yeah of course it depends on the market value. This contract is very, very valuable. The market will be open. I'm thinking they can get a return of a mid teens pick at least.

Yeah, not sure what the Lakers would give up though. They don't have anything other than Mo Wagner and maybe more future picks.

It really boils down to what teams need the cap space now.

The Lakers have made it clear that they want more cap space. But they don't have anything to trade. The Bucks maybe would be interested but I doubt it since they have a bunch of players they are going to want to resign and they aren't going to be keen on giving up picks just to get closer to the tax.

The Rockets maybe? Pistons?
