Most we should pay is a 3rd and conditional pick in 2020 depending on playing time this season. Otherwise, move along...It's not like the Cards really want Rosen on the roster with Murray as your starter.

Does this mean that others have lost interest in this player? If so, we have to ask the question...Why?

Word is Giants only offering a 3rd. Maybe that's why we've jumped to the forefront? Not sure

Junkies said the league is pissed that the Skins signed him so quick and the will draw this out.
but the fact is he is innocent of the charges as of now . we can split hairs and such but the fact is they were dropped

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller reports the Cardinals have "at least two offers" for Josh Rosen.
The Cardinals are trying to "save face" and get as a close to a first-rounder as possible for Rosen. That's unlikely after Rosen's rookie struggles, but teams could up their offers closer to the draft. Rosen has a more polished track record than every non-Kyler Murray quarterback in this year's class, but Arizona has backed themselves into a must-trade situation. They're likely going to have to settle for a Day 2 pick.

So how many of you folks that wanted Cousin's gone were predicting this?

"
Remember the Josh Rosen rumors?

Well, once again this offseason the Washington Redskins, one of the most quarterback-needy teams in a league filled with teams in need of quarterbacks, have been linked with the 10th overall pick from a year ago." :noidea:

What will be even more interesting is how many resources are used to get our non franchise QB.

Didn't want Kirk gone, that is, without getting something in return for him. Dude was lost when negotiations failed after the 2015 season, and I said so then, in real time. I wonder what they could have gotten in trade, but now we'll never know.

As for the rest of what you wrote...at long last, aren't we accustomed to this at this point? I know that I am and my BP reflects that (115/66). Not too bad for an old man huh?

I have always said that Cousin's should have got that long term contract at the end or during the 2015 season. They could have had him for $20 million a year (the tag price) after the season but they tried to go cheaper. We all know that it got to the point of know return or pay $28 million at the end.

My point is even if he wasn't Tom Rodgers Brees he was the best QB at the very least since Trent Green. They screwed that one up too. We know how the next 15-20 years went in regards to QBs and BAM we are right back there. I know Smith's injury was bad luck but I didn't see him as equal talent. They didn't make a trade but they did get a third round comp pick so I am not sweating that. He was dead man walking so it wasn't like someone was going to give away the farm. Same as my feeling about Rosen, don't give away the farm if they want him.

Congrats on the blood pressure. Don't know about you but I have to take a handful of meds in the morning but with that, diet and exercise my BP and heart rate are good too. Of course I got some new arteries 7 years ago. My Bro in Law tells me to stop getting wound up, I am only good for two punches then I need a 15 minute break. Still a hard headed old fart that won't take any shit off of anyone. Here's to us Sty. :suds::D I can still do the funky monkey multiple times a day so that is what I am really happy about. :nutswing:

ESPN's John Keim believes there's a "solid chance" the Redskins will trade for Josh Rosen.
With Air-Raid enthusiast Kliff Kingsbury enamored with reigning Heisman winner Kyler Murray, Rosen is probably a goner in Arizona. The Cardinals want a first-rounder for Rosen but the odds of that happening are slim to none. Meanwhile Washington needs a quarterback in the worst way—it would be a surprise if Alex Smith plays again coming off a horrific leg injury while journeyman Case Keenum is merely a placeholder. Barring a trade up in the first round, the Redskins won't draft until the 15th pick, at which point Murray, Dwayne Haskins and Drew Lock could all be gone. It's now or never for hot-seat head coach Jay Gruden, who may need to pull a rabbit out of his hat in order to keep his job. Rosen could be that rabbit.

Rosen is a better prospect than any of those 3 QB's. Any pick we give up is a steal. 1st 2nd or 3rd.
