2 things to take away from last night

A) That S from Atlanta, Kuzie i think his name is, can play. Very physical and I like it.

B) @mall3013 pointed this out. Calvin Ridley was just running routes all game. That's on Matt Ryan especially at goalline situations. YOU CANT EXPECT JULIO JONES, NO MATTER HOW AWESOME HE IS, TO MAKE EVERY PLAY.

If you have weapons dear God son, USE THEM

Just watched the final play again. Ryan had Coleman on a slant for the win but as always he was dead set on throwing it to Julio

Yeah, he was running scared, but in fairness, look at the Philly d line. It's a murderer's row man. Fletcher Cox, Michael Bennett, Brandon Graham, Chris Long, Derrick Barnett, Haloti Ngata. They have some players up front.

Even though the Rams D is getting all the press this off-season and preseason, the Iggles D is quietly presenting a lot of evidence for great D's when talk is still cheap and actions are the carrier of truth!!

Here's to hoping the Falcons O is just that bad.

That is the thing....

You can't relay on him to catch everything. Why not Coleman if he was open

I don't think the Eagles defense gets enough credit in some circles. Last year the were the 4th ranked defense in the NFL. 1st vs the run, 17th vs. the pass and 4th in scoring defense. Last season the pass defense was a weakness and I think they improved a great deal. Darby was outstanding all game even when he was covering Julio. Sydney Jones is probably getting his legs under him and played well. Jalen Mills IMO is the weak link and I believe that Sydney Jones will supplant him as the starter by mid-season.

I think the Eagles front 7 is the best in the NFL. Some homerism may apply but I doubt you will find many teams that can match the Eagles. The Rams do come to mind and to be honest I can't think of another team as good. I am not saying there aren't so if anyone want to chime in please do. I think the Cowboys front 7 is underrated but not as good IMO. The Texans also come to mind.

TIL: 20% red zone efficiency is a sign of outplaying the other team.
Been a problem under Sark. The hilarious thing is the game was pretty much a car in copy of the playoff game and you know the staff spent months thinking what they should've done different then they get another shot and change nothing lol

I don't think we watched the same game.
I watched the Eagles and Falcons both play like crap, with a whole lot of yellow hankies on the ground.

What game did you watch.
A game where Atlanta was in the red zone a ton and couldn't score

I think they get a lot of credit but their most memorable performance was getting pretty torn up in the Super Bowl.

Philly has the best trenches in football and football is won in the red zone. I'm not 100% sure they'll make the playoffs but if they do then no one will want to play them.

But for real. Outgained the eagles by 70 yards, had far more scoring chances. Neither team played great but atlanta clearly played better. Still a loss though. Just irritating to not take advantage of opportunities yet again

I think you have to give credit to Eagles D and to Sark for calling some bad redzone plays.

Hard to argue that the losing team played better. Those redzone failings will bring a loss more times than not.

Sure and they didn't deserve to win but they had far more chances for a reason. Philly only really had 2 drives of any length but props to them for capitalizing

Because of dumb mistakes by the eagles like the punt turnover and lining up offsides giving the Falcons two extra possessions late. The Falcons were lucky they had those chances but couldn't beat the eagles d.
