I think its a perfectly Redskins move. Sign a fatboy, with a name in the past who will check off the flash box and hope it works.

What could possibly go wrong

I mean...that seems like a really bad idea to avoid talent because of that...

Look I get we've been burned but I think if you all ran this team we would never make a trade, a draft pick, or a FA signing cuz lord knows weve been burned on all of them in the past.

Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it.

Not sure I follow. Obviously Im well aware of Haynesworth so the saying doesnt really apply at all here.

And furthermore it seems very odd to assume Suh is like Haynesworth.

The Dolphins ditched him for a reason though. I think this team needs to STOP chasing cast off talent from other rosters and learn to develop and retain our own.

Yep... I was on board with Wilkerson, I think SUH is a fat lazy Haynesworth light, I figured Mo would cost a little less than Sue, and might not actually be as much of a mess.

Yes the reason was a huge contract that everybody knee would get him cut one day.

Huh? All reports indicate suh has always worked and played very hard even after signing a mega deal like haynesworths.

Wilkerson on the other hand has basically already proven himself to be haynesworth 2.0 over the past 2 seasons.

I am referring to chasing other team’s castoffs. For the right price, I would look at Suh.

We've brought in plenty of other teams cast offs who have been successful here. As has the rest of the NFL.

Obviously you have to be smart about FA (just like with the draft and trades) and considering the price is always important but there's a lot to be gained from being active in FA.

In a perfect world, we would have the locker room, and more importantly the front office, where bringing in guys like this wouldnt matter.

Sadly we dont. Not a fan of Suh, at all. And I get the feeling the front office would enable him to be the guy that we dont need. You can correct lazy, you cant fix asshole.

I'd rather have asshole than lazy any day

IM all for that, but I still think we need another horse on the line as well.

Just not in any way shape or form a fan of that horse being the Suhstain

These past few days have been awful. Of course, the FO can turn this around but at this point, it doesn't look good. I like the restraint but we are not even lining up visits. We have to walk away from this FA period with 4 starters. Its that simple. My fear is that the FO thinks this team is better than it is. We have massive holes at LG, RB, DL, ILB and CB. We need depth almost everywhere. It honestly seems like the FO is trying to acquire as many 2019 compensatory picks.

I do not miss the Vinny days but our strategy thus far has been bizarre. There have been some good deals but we have not been included in any of them. Again, there is time but the players that can make a difference are dropping like flies. We need to get some visits scheduled while there is still time.

The deals for Beau Allen, Todd Davis and Nickell Robey-Coleman were what we needed to do. Those players will make 15 million total. Those were the 3 players I wanted but our clowncar of a FO thought otherwise.
