Pittsburgh is in the playoff race because of their offense (not passing defense), so I fail to see why you bring this up as a point when it comes to this discussion.
So you're saying Arizona hasn't faced a much higher quality of competition? The saints, Giants and Eagles were the bottom 3 in defense tag the colts in there........

The main thing keeping Cam ahead was the unbeaten season. Now that's gone and his stats aren't as good as some other QB's in the MVP race. If voting were today it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Carson Palmer win the award. Brady is in the mix too. Wilson was making a case over the past 6 weeks but yesterday probably dashed any slim hopes he had to win.

So with one week to go I'm saying Palmer is now the front runner.
Palmer should be the MVP but I don't get a vote.

I'm saying the difference is passing defenses faced by both QBs is negligible and not worth bringing up.

It's like you have no idea that Arizona also played the Saints and Eagles.

BTW...Pittsburgh is in the bottom 3 passing defenses.

And i'm saying you're buying into a paper tiger. With the level of competition cam has faced his stats should be a lot more productive. The excuse of Cam doesn't have the weapons holds no weight. Stewart and Olsons stats debunk that theory. If you match the two up on level playing ground its really quite obvious. Cams two wins outside division schedules were Green Bay and Seattle. Both teams Palmer has beaten. Palmer also beat a top ranked playoff team in the Bengals while they were hot. You can spin it however you want but it doesn't change the facts. You're doing A great job of avoiding the difference in strength of schedule tho

This is the most frustrating logic for a fan to have ever. If MVP voting comes down to hypothetical situations like the one you just mentioned then I quit. So we're going to punish Palmer for having some good WR's and a solid O-line? Ok.

It's just as frustrating because what he says is false. Carolina does not have a bad O-line. They also have plenty of weapons.
Russell has been to the playoffs every year he has been in the league.
2-0 in NFCCG'c.
1-1, in Super Bowls.
I'm not saying RW should be in the discussion of MVP, but what do you mean when you say CP and CM have resume's but RW does not???

Just speaking of Resume in 2015. That's it. Years past are totally irrelevant for 2015 MVP.

If there was an award for who played for the team that won the most playoff games in the past few years, RW wins hands down.

Read the last post try viewing the schedule as A whole and all the stats combined. Yes palmer played the eagles and saints. But Cam played the entire NFC east and the AFC south the two biggest garbage divisions this season. While Palmer played the AFC north and NFC north which are A world apart. How many teams are over 500 in the AFC south and NFC east? How many teams are over 500 in the NFC south aside from Carolina. Cams argument is being based on wins how many of those wins are quality wins?

You have to have that argument with someone else. I base my argument on how valuable Cam is to the Panthers great run of success this year.

If you were to subtract Cam and Palmer from their teams and insert an average backup QB in the league...Arizona would be more successful with that back up than Carolina would.

Pray tell...who are these "weapons" you speak of?
You do realize Stewart is ranked 6th overall ahead of Johnson in rushing and Olson is 13th in receiving with Ginn tied for 9th in TDS and only 3 back of Johnson correct? Cam has the weapons that excuse holds no weight

A large part of Stewart's success this year was based off of the threat that Cam poses.

BTW...everyone knows what a wonderful career Ted Ginn has had and how many QBs owe their careers to him.

He was really valuable when he choked vs atlanta when he actually had to step up wasn't he? You're really just sounding like A cam fan now. Is it A coincidence Carolinas struggles began when Stewart went down? That Stewar is ranked 6th in rushing even after missing the past 2 games?Or when Olsons productivity dropped?

And the panthers struggling after Stewart went down and teams held Ginn and Olson in check is a coincidence? But Cam is the reason Carolina has had success :laugh3:

You are saying Carolina's offense struggled against the Giants? Also, Cam had an incredible 4th Q passer rating (best in the league if I'm not mistaken) up until this past Sunday. Now because of one game you are going to label him a choker???

I can take or leave Cam. It's pretty obvious, however, that most people arguing against Cam simply don't like the dude.

Seems to me since Stewart went down and teams keyed in on ginn and olson. The panthers barely squeaked past an awful giants team ranked dead last in defense. And flopped against atlanta. If Cam is the reason for stewarts success why hasn't that carried over to Artis Payne? I would love to hear your theory on the Panthers struggles in that time period. And why Cam has either barely got it done or collapsed since........

I'm not crazy about the dude because of his antics but 41 tds and a big reason his team his 14-1. If I was a a Homer i would say Brady cause he still has the best stats, even with his no#1 and #receiver out. Now if Palmer has a huge game 16 and Cam falls on his face, then can see Carson winning it
