Day to Day
With pick #204 surprised everyone with a dark horse quarterback that no one has mentioned but has visited with and spoken with BB twice.
Ben DiNucci QB James Madison

What didn't you like about the game footage? The numbers BK posted seem pretty impressive. He did play for an FCS team and the saying goes "it's hard to soar like and eagle when surrounded by turkeys"... Not that FCS is all bad, just not the cream at the power conferences.I watched his pro day. Looks sharp. Really sharp. Game tape. Was not impressed at all.

#204 Be4n DiNucii QB James Madison 6'3" 218
DiNucci posted 3,441 passing yards, 29 touchdown passes and six interceptions while completing nearly 71 percent of his passes. He also ran for 569 yards and seven touchdowns on 122 carries and led James Madison to the FCS Title Game where they lost to North Dakota State.
#212 Lamar Jackson CB Nebraska 6'2" 206
Jackson has good overall athleticism and excellent length for the position. He is a willing tackler in the run game and has shown good efficiency as a wrap up tackler on the perimeter. In the passing game he does an excellent job using his length as a rerouter. He gets a good stab at the line of scrimmage and easily stays in the hip pocket of the receiver. His good technique and length allow him to recover when a receiver has gotten a step on him. He displays good eyes in man coverage. He also has very good ball skills. He projects favorably in red-zone and goal line situations, as well as contested catch situations and 50/50 balls due to his length, ball skills and competitiveness.
#213 Jacob Breeland TE Washington 6'5" 252
Breeland's father, Garrett, played linebacker at USC and was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in 1986. While Garrett did not stick in the NFL for long, Jacob has a real chance to do so. He played in 11 games as a redshirt freshman in 2016 (6-123-20.5) and worked himself into a key role on offense his sophomore year, garnering honorable mention All-Pac-12 accolades with 18 catches for 320 yards (17.8 per) and five scores in 12 games with 11 starts. Breeland did not receive any all-conference honors after his junior season but started 10 of 12 games played, catching 24 passes for 377 yards (15.7 per) and two touchdowns. He started his senior campaign strong with 26 catches for 405 yards (15.6 per) and six touchdowns in six games, but suffered a knee injury in October that ended his season.
With #195 I took Jalen Hurts QB Oklahoma.
Could have taken Cole McDonald (HA), Montez or Luton. Figured maybe McDaniels could develop Hurts into a Lamar Jackson type of QB utilizing the ROP offense.
Well this one unfortunately died out after the early 6th. I ended up taking W. Michigan OL Luke Juriga at 172 and trading up from 195 to 180 to take WSU QB Anthony Gordon before people lost interest.Thru 3 rounds of collaborative mock #3:
23 A.J. Epenesa, DE, Iowa
79 Jordan Elliott, DT, Missouri
98 Matt Peart, OT, UConn
100 Adam Trautman, TE, Dayton
(Traded 87 and 125 for 79)
