I just picked up Adam Trautman TE Dayton

So far:

WR Tee Higgins Clemson
DT Khalil Davis Nebraska
TE Adam Trautman Dayton

I like the last pick in Trautman. Good fit. The other two I question quite a bit. Higgins I just really don't see the fit with the Patriots especially N'Keal already in the building. To me Reagor makes a lot more sense to what the Patriots do on offense.

Khalil Davis to me is more of a rotational DL player that you bring in on pass rushing situations than a true 3-down type talent. He measured in at the Combine at 308 lbs. by the way.

I like Trautman as well:D been saying NE needs a TE. Trautman still needs to learn to block a bit better but he's now Graham at least.

I like Higgins and think he can do well. I just don't like NE spending their early pick on a WR.

Yes.

#125 is next. DE, DL, LB has been really picked over.

I'm thinking OT or CB next. If my two guys are there.

So you took Trautman a little earlier than what you originally thought he would go? Is that correct?

When I posted Highsmith the system somehow changed it to "I HAVE CORN IN MY POOP". I'm not joking and the draft went hysterical and I went to bed.

I change it to Johnathan Greenard Edge Florida.

Height/Weight: 6-3/263
Draft Scouting Report:

Rating: 82

Strengths:

  • Chiseled with NFL defensive end size
  • High-end burst off the snap
  • Fluidity to win to the inside
  • Sustains speed around the edge
  • Decent arsenal of pass-rushing moves
Weaknesses:

  • Spin move needs work
  • Rare moments of low motor
  • At times pass-rush moves seem predetermined

Yes. Seems that as soon as one guy selects, ten other guys seem to follow. Kmet went a few picks before and I figured a run on TEs would start and it did after I took Trautman.

Greenard was taken 85 picks ago so I retook Highsmith and hopefully, it will go through.

Tee Higgins WR Clemson
Khalil Davis DT Nebraska
Adam Trautman TE Dayton
Alex Highsmith Edge Charlotte

It's getting pretty thin. It's like everyone is following Walter's Draft.

Yep, I'm not criticizing your pick especially if Kmet had already been taken. I thought these two would go higher than you predicted. I think we may see the same thing on draft day? These two in the third then no other TEs until later in the 4th?

TYpical fantasy draft. Kmet went in the second round but there were so many WR available that people went after them and edge rushers. After I took Trautman, Bryant and Parkinson went quick. I've got six picks left and I've made positional lists.

I'll probably change my mind if my priority guys get picked but right now

Fourth and final collaborative mock underway. Made a bold move In the 1st trading up to 15 for Javon Kinlaw. Cost 87 and 172, well worth it IMO.

With #172 I just took Evan Weaver ILB Cal.

Weaver was state defensive player of the year in Washington as a senior at Spokane's Gonzaga Prep after posting 37 tackles for loss and 24 sacks. Cal played him at defensive end as a true freshman in 2016 (16 tackles, 1.5 sacks in 11 games) before moving him to linebacker for his sophomore campaign (55 tackles, two for loss, five starts in 12 games). Weaver took a big step forward as a junior, finishing second in the FBS with 159 total tackles and fourth in the country with 88 solo stops. Pac-12 coaches named him second-team all-conference for his excellent all-around season (9.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions, one returned for a score, and six pass breakups in 13 starts). Weaver starred as a senior, garnering first-team Associated Press All-American and first-team All-Pac-12 notice after leading the country with 182 tackles in 13 starts (that includes a whopping 103 solo efforts -- 20 more than the second-place finisher in solo tackles, Colorado's Nate Landman). Ten of those tackles were for losses, including 2.5 sacks; Weaver also broke up three passes and forced three fumbles for the Golden Bears.

Not a bad pick at #172. Maybe a little early but I'm not privy to how your entire draft is going and who was still on the big board. Seems to be a BB type of guy. Good team mate, strong motor. He'll need to make the team as a ST player IMO? He's a little slow and needs to bulk up and put on some more muscle to play ILB in BBs D. At 237# he ran a 4.76 and only threw up 15 reps on the bench.

We're just about done with Round 5 and the pickings are slim. There are always a few guys that someone knew were a bit better than advertised, but my original list of 100 players was gone by the end of Round 4 and I had to do more research. I've got six more picks and have a list of 30 guys. I've got 195, 204, 212, 213 in this round.

With #195 I took Jalen Hurts QB Oklahoma.

Could have taken Cole McDonald (HA), Montez or Luton. Figured maybe McDaniels could develop Hurts into a Lamar Jackson type of QB utilizing the ROP offense.
