Any word on seriousness? Would be a shame if any injury impacts on the regular season.

All they're saying at this point is lower body injury - It doesn't sound that serious, but I'm sure the Stars don't want to take any chances.

Considering how he went into the boards in Columbus, it's gotta be knee. He did come back in that game, though.

Last report I saw said he'd only be out two weeks and would be ready for Stars camp.

Hope it's not to serious for Seguin. Guy's to talented to not be injured and out to long.

Saturday's Canada-US exhibition generated 900,000 viewers. Probably bodes pretty well for the main tournament.

McJesus yet to record a point for Team North America and a team worst -2, it's tough to get rid of the Oilers stink once you don that jersey.

:D

Sergei Bobsky is certainly in pre-season form.

Carey Price looked damn solid too.

Looking forward to watching this tourney, but I'm left wondering why we have a Team North America? The U.S. and Canada make up the majority of North America and certainly 99.9999999% of the hockey players from NA so why is there a 3rd team?

Help!

Canada probably could have had 2 teams on their own. The NHL wants to showcase some young talent like Eichel, Mackinnon, Mathews and of course McDavid (and it's doubtful many of them could have cracked Canada's or USA's roster on merit alone) so they decided to do a team of young talent from both places.

Plus, They did team of "everyone else in Europe not in Russia, Sweden, Czech Republic or Finland" and they needed to balance the groups out.

Thanks. That's kind of in line with what I would have guessed, but I haven't followed the run up to the tourney at all so I am not up to speed on all the gory details.

I wouldn't assume it happened in a game. Babcock's somewhat non-specific comments seemed to me to suggest that he came to camp with it and didn't tell anyone.

Well, you've certainly come to the right board.

Why is there a team North America (when there is already team USA & Canada) and a team Europe (when there is a 4 teams from Europe) in the WCOH?
