Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy bacon
Sean Monahan out of the tourney with a back strain, Vince Trocheck to take his place.
Sigh.
Sigh.
Besides degenerate gamblers, does anyone care about this thing?
I would think anyone entering a contract year would care. Once you're eligible to sign that extension, any competitive time you can get to try to inflate your stats for that big payday.i think it may have been mentioned already in this thread but bodog has the kids at 13.00 (decimal odds) to win
done! lol
kids are probably the only ones dumb enough to care about this tournament

You don't think they would bring up everything they can? Hell, they probably submit records from their Fitbits of how many steps they had each day.really? players will bring up their numbers from this tournament when negotiating for a new NHL contract ???

Team NA lines.
Holy moly.
Arbitrators would laugh that out of the room.
Mexico clearly underrepresented.
I think you guys are a little misguided about why exactly players would want this tournament to succeed.
Correct me if I'm wrong but does revenue from the WC not count as hockey-related revenue? And therefore does the money earned by the league as a result of this tournament not contribute to a higher salary cap and therefore higher wages?
Turning this tournament into an international spectacle capable of generating tens of millions of dollars is in the best interests of all involved, and also why we've likely seen the end of NHL participation in the Olympics for the foreseeable future.
