Will LeBron ever be seen as better than Kobe in the eyes of Lakers fans?

By the way a real buzzer beater shot is taken as the buzzer is sounding off and Chat GPT says LeBron had 7 in his career and Kobe had 5. LeBron is a 21 year veteran and counting and Kobe played for 20. Just for prospective.
only real buzzer beaters are clutch shots? Taking shots to tie or tale lead in final 24 seconds just irrelevant? Either way, 7 is more than 5 and Lebron did have more per season than Kobe. Lebron had one 1 every 3 seasons. 1 in 4 for Bryant. Just for perspective.

Shouldn't we discount Kobe's Laker rings by this "logic" though since Kobe was with the Lakers 20 seasons and Lebron only 7 after this one?

You are a walking double standard.

It shows there is not as big of a gap as you seem to think. Maybe you are too young to have watched the NBA when they played real Basketball.

There is a sizeable gap in terms of efficiency.

Kobe took more “clutch” shots and made fewer.

Because LeBron will make the right basketball play and pass to an open shooter instead of forcing a bad shot.

You said "Buzzer Beaters" I just pointed out what a Buzzer Beater shot is and LeBron had two more than Kobe. The gap is not as large as you seem to think. It could be your age and the fact you watched more James games than Kobe's. Not a crime and I don't dislike your opinion I just happen to disagree with you.

"Championship-wise, it's Kobe Bryant," Jordan said. "He wants it so bad and he's willing to go to the extreme. Guarding a point guard at the age of 34, playing 38 minutes, 40 minutes, that's ludicrous." Jordan then linked himself with Bryant, not James.Jul 18, 2024
Do you hate Jordan's opinion too?

Larry Bird said he would prefer to play with Kobe Bryant for winning, but LeBron James for fun.
"Well, probably Kobe, because of the fact that... well, of course, he wouldn't have been shooting as much as he does now... but his desire to win, his dedication, to always get better, uh, and he's just, he's just tough," the Hall of Famer said when asked which current player he'd most like to play with.

Magic Johnson says Kobe Bryant is the second greatest NBA player of all time, behind Michael Jordan. Johnson says Bryant's skill set, determination, and ability to perform under pressure made him one of the most clutch players in NBA history.
  • Johnson says Bryant was the second best offensive player at the two-guard and small forward positions, behind Jordan.

  • Johnson says Bryant was virtually unstoppable when it came to scoring.

  • Johnson says Bryant's work ethic and dedication were unmatched.

  • Johnson says Bryant's influence extended beyond the NBA, and that he was a tremendous ambassador for women's basketball.

  • Johnson says Bryant helped mentor the next generation of players, including Jayson Tatum.

  • Johnson says Bryant changed the game and helped it grow globally.

  • Johnson says Bryant's impact, both on and off the court, ensures that his name will always be part of the GOAT conversation.

I never said there was a big gap though. You're continuing to show that you aren't a serious person with these opinions, and arguing using straw men and bad faith. We have repeatedly said Kobe was an all time great player, among the best ever seen. LeBron is simply better as shown by facts like yours.

The 'real basketball' comment is priceless LOL...Kobe played not that long ago dude.

It's fine, it's just sports and we can like who we like, and no one is saying you can't have the opinion that Kobe was better at basketball than LeBron. It's just factually incorrect.

Who's better, Kobe or LeBron James?

Kobe VS LeBron – who is considered better? - The Perspective

Kobe was a more complete player

LeBron might be more dominant player, but Kobe was a more versatile and well-rounded player, which gives him the edge in this debate. While LeBron is an all-around player, with explosive power that makes him almost impossible to guard, he lacks instinct and on-court elegance and style.

Johnson says a lot of things, like 'hey I don't need to wear a rubber...' and 'I should be coach of the Lakers' and 'I should host a talk show on TV'

All this stuff Johnson said about Kobe is pretty tangential to what we are talking about here, and also much of it applies to LeBron and other greats too

You reacted like I said something stupid. I said what many former NBA players have said. And the NBA changed and not for the better after Kobe retired. It hasn't been the same since.

Smart not to include wherever you got this from, because it's pants-on-head retarded lol

Your comment about the NBA is an opinion that has nothing to do with this comparison. By the way Kobe retired after the Ws won their first title (he was done after the 2016 season). It's so different now?
