Name me 10 guys better than Dame right now. I don't care about their age or contract size either, just straight up talent. Dame is easily a top 10 player in this league and has been since he was drafted.

I wouldn't go that far. 5 time 1st or 2nd team NBA in his 10 years, 7 time all-star. 10-15ish over the course of his career seems about right IMO.

Freak, Durant, Jokic, Embiid, Curry, Tatum, Luka, Tatum, Lebron, AD, Butler are all currently ahead of him off the top of my head.

You're projecting Haliburton too soon IMO. Homerism is everywhere, but do you really project the Pacers deep into the playoffs this season?
Wait, how many playoff series has Dame won in 11 years? Maybe three or four???

Not that impressive.

Odd thing to say as Haliburton's been in the league three years and has yet to make the playoffs.

By year three for Dame he got the Blazers to the playoffs twice and was a 2x all star.

Everyone wants to be a Pacer.

Said no NBA player ever.

"David Silver" - A sign that you don't know as much basketball as you think you do.

lol

And the previous commissioner was David Stern.

When you have to use someone obviously conflating a name as some sort of e-win...you've already lost.

You started a sentence with and (and it was a fragment as well). What are you thinking? Your argument is moot. :heh:

And as @shopson67 pointed out in another thread, Hurricane is guilty of this very same thing in referring to Sixers President Daryl Morey as the Sixers GM. As you said, it’s just minutiae.

Just a reminder.
An 1/8 of the way through this season it looks like this may be true, but there is a long way to go to the end of the season. Halliburton is playing great and Dame not so well, plus they have different styles and rolls on their teams, so saying better is somewhat subjective. Did anyone expect Dame to have better numbers on defense? No. Have as many assists? Again, no. To be a better scorer? Yes. His team to have more success? Yes.

But overall, so far, you are right, Halliburton is looking better than Dame (who is adjusting to a new team). But again, beware of early season projections, there is a long way to go.

It’s not like this was a bad take from Hurricane tbh. Haliburton can play.

Now whether it ends up being true or not by season’s end, we’ll see.

Boston - Wouldn't pay Brown a record deal just to trade for Dame

Lakers - No assets outside of LeBron and AD

Clippers - Lack young talent to trade

Knicks - have Brunson

Warriors - Hitched their wagon to CP3 and it's not as if Portland wanted Poole anyway

Sixers - If you have to move Maxey what's the point?
It's fun to bump.
