Lol, like Micro said, he was just joking around.

I think it's hilarious that you got all offended over him giving you shit about something you put on there.

Too funny, lol. Even better that he waited a day or so to point it out. Good fun...

Meh, not offended really, but I could have sworn he's called me out elsewhere at one point and it's more entertaining if you have something to respond to.

Does it count as a homer pick when muzz takes the Sqwuaks over the Donkeys? I'm also interested in more Danny Woodhead discussion....

Please feel free to comment on my opinion.

It's hard to quantify, but I literally wanted to punch the screen every time I saw them run a power play with him, and it happened far too often. I'm sure he's a great guy, but I just didn't see much he brought to the table beyond knowing where to be. Certainly expendable IMO, and I would rather have Blount as a third option than him.

I don't think I've ever called anyone out. But I think I may have given you some shit about only having 25 in vcash. To which gvsu called me a golddigger.

Part of the problem is them running power plays with him. He is a guy with a definite skill set, and that is to be a poor man's Sproles. He has pretty good hands for a RB, seems to have a read for coverage and has great quickness (notice I didn't say speed.) You do want to run him inside just so the defenses can't automatically assume he's not going anywhere in the box, but that's definitely not what he's good at.

Oh lol. Maybe it was that. I did think you were serious this time, but I just wanted something to respond to. I'm actually wrong fairly often.

As for vcash I only care enough to gamble on football. Blew all of it on some bullshit lol.

I think in every aspect on the ground he is outclassed by Ridley and vereen. Out of the backfield, he was redundant. Between Welker, Hernandez, and the fact that every other receiver but Lloyd played underneath, another player in the flats really added no versatility. Maybe it wasn't solely on him, but he was the least skilled of the people occupying that already crowded area IMO.

If you mean homer, as in homer simpson, then yes, it's a homer pick.

I like Danny Woodhead. Always thought he and Wes Welker epitomized the Patriots franchise. Neither had the most physical gifts, but seemed to get the most out of their talent. I've always thought of the Patriots as a franchise that didn't have the most talent, but had a coach that could get the most out of the talent he had. Woodhead could don a Lions uniform anyday as far as I'm concerned. Love his effort.

Ohhhhh.... I don't disagree with your assessment one bit JDM. Id prolly be ruder about it than you were, using terms like Munchkin and Scrub. It's just that Mr. Woodhead has got a little(hahahaha... Little) attention on the Lions board before. (our un-elected President needs to earn bennys and executive perks)And I've been a fan of Blount since he TitusYoung'd that dope from Boise a few years back. Cost him a senior season, but I like his style.

I liked Drew Bledsoe, (second jersey i ever owned)Ty Law, Troy Brown and Randizzle. Welker too. Ben Coats... Also pretty sweet.

That combined with the amount of actual talent I believe they have this year is part of why I'm excited this year. With woodhead, I'm thankful for his contribution. I like the guy. He was smart, knew the offense, and managed to be productive given his opportunities. But his limitations were very noticeable when you watched every game, and became frustrating over time.

I still have a beat up Troy brown jersey somewhere. He epitomized the patriot way far better than the other two IMO. Three interceptions in a season, combined with being a very good kick and punt returner and being our best receiver for a while. Or vrabel. 10 career catches, 10 touchdowns.

I've basically hated your favorite franchise since they made a wise financial and long-term football move, sticking with Tom Terrific.(Second least favorite Wolverine QB, I'm still a Dreisbach guy, and yeah, I know) But I have nothing but the utmost respect for Troy Brown. That man is a football player, and I mean that as the highest praise I could give anyone who played football. (if that makes sense)

Trust me, I mean that the exact same way. I may have primarily played one position because I was best at it (and our depth was awful), but I knew every play for every position on both sides of the ball. There is not a higher compliment in my mind than considering someone a football player rather than just their position.

It's why I hate seeing it used about someone like Tebow, who doesn't even do one position well and refuses to even consider teams wanting him to do other things (he did do punt protector, but it was for the gimmick of him being a QB, so I don't count it).

I played seven spots on defense my senior year, made All-State doing it. ( it was academic All-State, but still...). Wore my #86 jersey under my #66 jersey as a junior so I didn't have to report as eligible. (that still doesn't seem legal). I appreciate versatility. Especially out of necessity. Don Kelly is my Tiger. And Drew Stanton, while an awful option as a starting QB, is a damn good football player. And don't even get me started on Tebow...... :). I think Troy Brown would've played defensive tackle if The Hoody asked. If all else failed, he prolly would've submarined, and filled a hole.

I played only MLB and was 3rd team all state, but in NH lol. My school was the last year my town went there, and juniors and below left to go to the new school in my town, so depth got fucked. Our second MLB was a junior who had like 3 tackles all year, and our third option was a 300lb D tackle, so moving anywhere else wasn't a real option.

I was far from academic anything. Had the test scores, didn't do the work.

Hahaha...I've heard good things about New Hampshire football. I had two " Actual" All-State guys at DEs. One was MSUs starting left tackle(Who's little brother was the waterboy at the time, and went on to occupy a roster spot for your Patriots a couple years back as a guard) during the Duckett, Charlie Rogers, Smoker, late-Saban early Williams Very nice!Very nice!era. We ran stunts like crazy and I got a lot of sacks. (on account of my teammates a la Cliff Avril). But I'm most proud of (along with having 6or7 roughing the passer penalties) leading the team in receptions and receiving touchdowns my junior year.... As a guard. (9 and 2 respectively). We ran the single wing. Hahahaha
