So Brady's(The Patriots) defense had nothing to do with winning those three SBs?

I didn't mention the 3 SB's to 1 for this reason. But the all-time playoff winner vs. the all-time playoff choker and they are somehow equal? You can only ignore stats for so long before you start ignoring history.

I will give you that Tom Brady has won more playoff games. That's a fact.....I'm asking because I don't know. Which one has more wins over there regular season career? If you find out that Tom Brady has more wins then I will concede the debate.

Mamba is my boy plus he hates Shocktart too. So you two have that in common.

Real life boy or good friend? I don't think he's shok since his join date was before CBS went in the shitter, just wondering why a duck fan was here.

I think it's only a difference of 10-15 games. But that's my point. When two guys are so simialr in the regular season, you have to look at the playoffs to settle the debate. One guy just broke Joe Montana's record for post-season wins. The other shares the record for most losses (11) with Brett Favre.

Equal during the regular season, night and day in the playoffs.

lol he's not Shocktard. He's enemies with him. Mamaba is just a cool dude from the ducks board who hunts bigfoot. He'd fit in good w Lions fans and since Oregon doesn't have a pro Team, maybe we can adopt him.

Ya, we can adopt him. Maybe he has some Pete Carroll/Seawhawk secrets that could help us. If you ain't cheating you ain't trying......If you get caught cheatin then you ain't cheating good enough.

Belechick philiosphy. Pete Carroll read the book. We could use some pointers....Those guys take PEDs and Adderall.....Lions just smoke dope.....Atleast there's is helping them become better athletes.

The Percentage tips the favor in Bradys favor. Hes also a year and half younger. I'm leaning Brady.

No. The age (and '08) are the reasons Peyton has so many more games.

Basically the breakdown is:

Brady:
Regular season:
136-40(.773) average game - 21.4/33.6 253 1.89 TD .69 INT
Post season:
17-7 (.708) average game - 23/37 248 1.75 TD .91 INT

Peyton:
Regular season:
154-69(.691) average game - 22.6/34.7 265 1.95 TD .93 INT
Post season:
9-11 (.450) average game - 24/38 283 1.6TD 1.05 INT

I may have screwed up math somewhere. All numbers are from pro-football-reference.com

Looks pretty square to me. Don't think I could definintely say one was better then the other. They are both great QBs.

Rings come with a surrounding cast IMO.

I'll take more TD to less picks every time. It may not be the only factor differentiating the records, but especially when you consider that Brady was usually further in the playoffs and playing better teams, makes a solid difference IMO.

Thats fair, but I could argue Brady had a better defense over the course of his career then Manning....Stafford is putting up crazy yards, but the D sucks......I think with a stellar defense behind Stafford, this team would be crazy good.

Peyton:
Average defensive ranking 14th scoring, 16th yd
Brady:
Average defensive ranking 8th scoring, 7th yd

There's your Pats dynasty. No offense to Brady whatsoever. You guys have had one helluva run, on both sides of the ball.

Ok,I screwed up the script to calculate Brady (new England is two words to Denver's one).

Defense was 16 in yards, 7 in scoring.

both average 5 in scoring offense, Brady is 8 in yards, Peyton is 5

Part of the scoring d discrepancy is good red zone D, part is taking care of the ball IMO.

Its a team sport. No matter how good Barry Sanders was or Calvin Johnson is, still need a good cast and locker room, otherwise it's all for not. Beleichechk has mastered the art of the locker room, where as the Lions are lost......We have the talent just not the leadership.

Absolutely the team dynamic matters. I place that heavily on the quarterback in addition to the coach. While clearly Belichick is a great coach, Brady is also a leader of this team and has contributed largely to the team being a team. I won't penalize Peyton for taking what he could get contract wise, but at the same time, you don't see him taking a deal to make 57mil over the next 5 years to help his team. You also don't see Brady call out teammates, even subtly, in the press. He's had his reasons to be upset too, but leadership must be better than that.

The coaching is part of the playoff record difference, and so is the difference in defensive play, but I will maintain that taking care of the ball better and Brady's leadership are part of it as well.

On a side note, interesting how much the focus of this thread has turned to my team and QB. Sorry for hijacking it.
