Yeah, he might be, although personally I'd probably wait till I can see him in the NFL a few years before I would make that type of prediction.

Love can turn the ball over just as much as Darnold can. Vikings probably have the home field advantage. But, I'll go Packers. Love is more proven when down to the wire over Darnold. But things change in the playoffs.

Love has settled down at mid season after he got his footing and timing back after being out a few times with injuries. He has no picks in the last 5 games and like 7 or 8 TDs and a passer rating of around 120 over the last 4 or 5 games. This is the same thing that happened last year where the first half of the season was not very good the the 2nd half was very good. We will have to see how the last 3 regular season games go but the Pack is improving each week with defense and getting the flow of the offense going sharing the passing reps with 4 people and a good running game and people back on defense. The Cooper kid playing linebacker has been nice to get back

If they can hang onto some home field in the playoffs they are not out of it. Anzelone will be back, and that is a massive win. Bills fed RBs in the middle of the field because they have no linebackers that can cover. Campbell is elite against the run, and he has made massive strides in coverage, but he went from terrible to bad. If he keeps progressing he will be so good.

Anzelone back closes their biggest weakness and allows Campbell to focus on the run where he is needed real bad right now.

Path is definitely more difficult now, but they are not out.

Quit feeling sorry for yourselves and exaggerating the losses.

Only a handful of those are actually real losses.

The reason your defense is going to suck is that Glenn sucks. Why they brought him back is so beyond me. His insistence on playing man coverage too much despite not having the talent for it was always going to cost you at some point IMO. Just like it has in the previous 3 seasons.

11 of the people on the list of defense weren't even players this season for the Lions.

The combined stats of those 11 players is something like 60 tackles .5 sack and 2 passes defensed this season. You can replace that type of prolific production by throwing a dart at NFL practice squad lists.

The big loss there is Davis, McNeil, and Hutch. McNeil and Hutch are very good and great players respectively you cant possibly replace. And Davis is one of the only guys on your defense that is good on man to man coverage which Glenn is going to call despite not having the talent to do so anyways as the season grinds on. So that loss is big. But could easily be offset by smart coaching. The Vikes have hardly played man coverage all year because we dont have the talent to do it. Flores would love to if given the opportunity.

So while the Lions have injuries.....only a couple of those injuries are actually a big deal if their coaching staff does their job.

Detroit has 16 defensive guys on IR.

I had recently read somone who posted a stat (previous to the injuries that happened on Sunday) that across all 32 NFL teams, the average number of players listed on the injury report (IR, out, doubtful, and questionable) is 14.53, with a median of 14.5. The Lions lead the league in injuries with 25 players sidelined, while Chicago and Denver have the fewest at just 6.

For players specifically on IR, the league average is 8.9, with a median of 9. Detroit again tops the list with 15 players on IR, while Denver and Green Bay have the fewest at 4 each.

According to these stats, this means the Lions are approximately 75% more injured than the league average and have 70% more players on IR than the typical team.

I just don't see how they can overcome losing so many people on the defensive side of the ball. Monty was probably the straw that broke my camels back for me. He was such a workhorse for this offense. Don't get me wrong, the offense will still be really good, but Monty was a key player in it, and I think we will lose some offensive punch.

When you don't have any defensive punch, and you start to lose a little on the offensive side, I think we are too late in the year to really recover and make an SB run. Even if they were a #1 seed, I wouldn't bet on the Lions at this point.

For San Fran it was more injuries that derailed their season.
I'd say Eagles have more egos than SF and on top of that Philly has an idiot of a HC yet they're still winning games and contenders for a SB
