I don't see it happening there's too much risk and too much controversy and it's not settled. if he was someone the steelers drafted maybe... but they didn't.

Yeah you are almost assuredly correct. From a sheer football perspective, it would be awesome.

And the asking price is right up there around the Rogers level. At face value of pure football I would take Watson over Rogers since one is young and can lead the team for the next decade.

Totally unless he is 100% exonerated no one will take that on. And even then they have to deal with the backlash of accusations, good luck getting that many picks.

My point was strictly in a football sense. If the asking price is the same as Rogers you take Watson but with the additional off field items you don't touch him with a ten-foot pole.

He hasn't been cleared.

Ben had one accusation, and was suspended 6 games. Watson has a bucket full. He's gonna have a suspension, at least a full year.

I read the article on the Trib - I thought it was satire, as in him making fun of everyone for all the outlandish predictions of signing Rodgers, Wilson, etc. Did I misread it, maybe?
