That isn’t a great example though.

Because injuries significantly hampered his production on top of everything else.

Kyrie is in his prime years.

I would like to think you guys are right and that he won’t get a bag this summer.

But I think he still will.
No those are fantastic examples to me in terms of productive players having their careers cut short by their actions. Irving would be an extreme example, but that is what he is. I don’t think there is a single team working on a plan for this guy.

The thing holding them back is now gone.

Ballmer seems like a great owner.

So yeah.

I would bet anything you want they win before the Pacers.
This.

If Boogie Cousins didn’t miss 2 years with major injuries?

Then it would be a valid comparison.

Boogie was a shell of his former self when he came back.

I think Irving is more of a nutjob though. I’m confident in saying one thing, the team that signs Irving will regret it very quickly. It’s not like it takes Irving a while to show who he is.

Oh, I don’t doubt they will regret it.

But you are saying nobody is going to be willing to pay him.

And I think you will be proven wrong there.

I don’t think he gets a multi year deal worth over half the max. I mean cancer is not something you go ahead and sign on to even if it looks like a bargain.

Again, you are way overestimating the owners decision making ability.

I would give kyrie 3/120 with a team option in the final year of 2/80 with no opt out

Only way I’m giving that deal is with a team option to cancel every 10 days. That might keep him focused, maybe.

A bet about whether the Clips or Pacers will win a title first?

What are the chances either of you will still be alive to see it?

Pacers are a relatively unknown commodity and to say the Clippers win a title before them isn’t unreasonable. It is absolutely asinine to say they got a better chance than the Nuggets, though.

FWIW If Kroenke would hypothetically move the Nuggets to where his dad’s team (the Rams) is, I would support it. That does not mean I think they’ll fare any better than in Denver.

Just what LA needs, a 3rd NBA team. Brilliant.

Yeah, I would bet on the Clippers winning before the Nuggets. Just not with as much confidence.

Not this year. Nuggets obviously better now.

But I don’t think the Nuggets are likely to win it all without a roster overhaul. And if they don’t get one with Jokic, big advantage back to Clip show.

It clearly is not working out in Dallas with Luka and Irving.

My vote is Phoenix. Via a sign and trade. Irving to the Suns for Ayton and a few guys.

KD and Irving still have a good relationship and you add in Booker and that could be a scary trio. The only issue is there is just 1 ball but it might be able to work if all 3 put their ego's aside.

Vote and discuss.
Hate it. I don't want that cancer anywhere near the Suns
