ESPN sure is gaying it the fuck up with remote satellite reports from gay bars in West Hollywood.

ESPN just showed Michael Sam. Am I the only one who finds it hilariously ironic that he's wearing a pink shirt?

There's nothing ironic about deliberate choices. If he's wearing a pink shirt, it's because his publicists thought it would be a good idea for him to do so as a symbolic gesture.

He's just not talented enough for teams to put up with the media circus that would come from him. It wouldn't as big as the Tebow circus but teams just don't want to hassle with a million questions regarding the fact that he's gay.

Which is the funny part is the biggest obstacle for him and other gay players isn't the fact that he's gay but the fact that teams don't want to deal with the media attention.

Agreed. The media story should be "teams dont like media, Sam goes undrafted"

^ thought those Sam 13 1/2 sacks last year might mean something to an NFL club, but what the hell do I know.

I believe it was 11.5 sacks? And while I don't follow Missouri terribly closely I've read many times that the majority of those sacks were compiled in just a few games (I think it was 9 of them in 3 games? Maybe someone who follows them and knows for sure can clarify) and that he wasn't a consistent threat from game to game.

I want to see Sam as Mr. Irrelevant. That's would be quite interesting.

Has anyone else noticed that this guy still has not cracked ESPN's top 10 BPA list?

And ESPN is still trying to shame any team into drafting him.

I hate that this will overshadow the guy we drafted who used to be the janitor at Edward Jones Dome

Wrong Mizzou player was drafted, imo, but ill root for him

Not sure if he will even make the team. The Rams have the best defensive line in the league. Its deep too.
