I mean, he was only 2 years into the league before 2016, and those were two pretty fantastic years, especially considering he played with 3 different QBs in those 2 years. I'm not sure anything would suggest we're "much better" with Higgins. If we keep Perriman, I think he falls to probably 5th in the pecking order for targets behind Landry, Calloway, Perriman, and Njoku, and maybe even Johnson and Chubb.
You're definition of fantastic and mine aren't the same. Matthews isn't any good at this point in his career, keeping anybody over him is a positive.
