Wentz or Mayfield: who would you rather have?

I mean, he was only 2 years into the league before 2016, and those were two pretty fantastic years, especially considering he played with 3 different QBs in those 2 years. I'm not sure anything would suggest we're "much better" with Higgins. If we keep Perriman, I think he falls to probably 5th in the pecking order for targets behind Landry, Calloway, Perriman, and Njoku, and maybe even Johnson and Chubb.

You're definition of fantastic and mine aren't the same. Matthews isn't any good at this point in his career, keeping anybody over him is a positive.

Unless Baker completely falls off a cliff next year out of nowhere, I see him besting Wentz' 2017 in almost every category.

I dont think that has to be the case. If Baker's level of competition rises then progress might be obfuscated. Baker had 8 games against the bottom third of the NFL defenses (DVOA).

Well to answer your initial question then since you are incorrect, football Outsiders ranked Callaway and Perriman's 2018 seasons MUCH better than Matthews and Agholor's seasons in 2016.

It’s the same old story... when wentz sucks it’s bc his teammates suck. When wentz plays great it’s all him... not his teammates.

Algholor(based on his other seasons), Ertz and the O-line were awesome in 2017. Agholor, Matthews and DGB sucked in 2016, Wentz wasn't even that good either as a rookie.

Wentz but not by much. Another injury plagued season and Baker plays all 16 and puts up solid numbers, I'll revisit this thread.
