I like Stink a lot. What I don’t know is how good a teacher and strategist he is. My initial thought is it would be better to get experience as an assistant OL coach and determine whether he has those requisite skills. He might be the greatest OL coach ever, or he might be a bust.

Stink said he was with his son at minor league baseball in Nola some time ago and the Saints practice facility is next door. Payton invited him over for the day. Stink said Payton gave him the royal tour, dedicated extra time to showing him around and told him that during practice if he saw something in how the Saints were practicing that he didn't like to go ahead and stop the drill and give input. Very interesting tid bit.

Interesting. He's done good work locally for kids in HS, but I don't know if that style applies to the NFL. Nobody would out work him though.

I hope we don't try to create some dream team coaching staff.

Good article in the Athletic that reinforced that thought for me as well. Paton seems to draft the exact type of player that Payton loves. I think its going to be a great match. At least, till it isn't. Lol
