Game Thread: Week 12: Cardinals vs Seahawks (Must D Up!)

First game of the season against the divisional leaders, Arizona Cardinals... We'll be playing them again in 2 weeks.. This game is huge as the NFC West positions themselves for a very close finish over the next 5 weeks... All divisional games are going to be huge moving forward...

Looks like todays weather could have rain and a little chilly so this should be a typical Seattle weather type of game in November...

I hope our defense continues to play well... gotta contain Murray in the pocket... If it does rain, that should negate his strength (Speed/Agility) a bit more on the run... Zona's defense has been solid, picking up right where they left off from last year... Their offense has been very good, huge improvement... Harrison Jr is a huge threat so keeping the chuck yardage to a minimum is key...

All in all, should be a very good game if we can stop with the dumb, self inflicted wounds, while keep 3rd down situations, "manageable"...

I expect the D to hold up well enough. The outcome, in my opinion, rests on whether the O can avoid the unforced errors that have typically doomed them this season.

Must O up IMO. We did jack shit against San Fran until Bosa went out, and they were already missing most of their interior DL. The Cards have one of the lowest blitz percentages in the NFL so we SHOULD be snapping under center a ton this game and using playaction. They're middle of the road in run defense so we should be run focused this game.

If I see Geno lining up in shotgun and passing 40+ times this game I'm gonna lose it. Abe was a full participant this week in practice, so he should be starting 100% of the snaps IMO... why we keep marching out Bradford at RG is the most maddening thing ever, when Haynes is a far better pass blocker. You don't need a MAULER at right guard (generally want that at left guard). You need a guy with decent technique at right guard. With all the injuries/retirement we've had at right guard, it's kind of annoying Bradford has stayed healthy. And I'll just answer the question some of you are thinking: "Are you really hoping our own guard gets injured?" Yes.

Hawks need to run but dont be so obvious with it like they have been this year. It seems like they just stack the box when they want to run. Load up on TE and what not and the defense sits 9 in the box. We have been banging our head against this all season long, More play under center would do a lot to help hide this obvious sheet they been doing all season.

Right now the offensive play calling is just to blatantly easy to read.
