Trubisky doesn't have it. His strength out of college was supposedly his accuracy but that appears now to be his biggest weakness. The guy can't hit the side of a barn. Hate to say it but we need a new QB and that's a major bummer considering the defense we have.

Well, when you guys drafted him it was a general idea that it would take a few years for jim to become polished. But i do agree, he isnt making the improvement people were expecting.

He's terrible. I've seen rookies make better throws than Trubisky. Just another bum in a long line of QB bums in Chicago Bears history.

Following my lead, I see.

This was the make or break year. It sucks, but I think it’s time to draft a replacement if we can. Even if it’s a second rounder, we should see what we can get.

I think Nagy is starting to show his true colors too. He’s not playing the right personnel. I have no idea why Davis was in at such a crucial time. The guy has been terrible. We should be rolling with the D-Mont and Cohen combo. Davis should only see time when there are injuries.

As for Trubisky, he is still sailing passes to wide open receivers. He makes a few good plays a game, but I think he has seriously regressed from last year. It will probably not get any better throughout the season. He has some serious work to do if he wants to keep the starter position. The good news is we won’t have to waste big time money to resign him if it comes to that.

Does anyone think we make a play for Alex Smith when he comes back? Maybe we trade up with our two 2nd rounders this year to take a QB?

Trubisky is starting to worry me but I won't give up till after this season. Nagy is worrying me more. We need bigger WRs.

I normally don't support inter division trade, but Cousins for a 4th rounder. What a bargain

I didn’t have a problem with the way Nagy called the game. He stuck to the run. And some of the calls like the toss to Patterson followed by the flip to Gabriel with Patterson still in the backfield were great.

Trubisky just can’t hit the big throws. He was better at the end in an off script offense. Those are times when your brain shuts off and you just play football.

Bottom like is this guy can’t read a defense and can’t function within an NFL offense because he can’t simplify what he sees. He can’t spot open receives and struggles when defenses contain the pocket...a strategy both teams we’ve faced have utilized with success.

Arm strength isn’t an issue. It’s there. Accuracy is a huge problem. Timing is as well.

It’s honestly just been all bad from Mitch.

I feel like Mitch is trying to stay in the pocket and become the prototypical passer.

Unfortunately, it's his movement and athleticism that makes him dangerous.

It was an ugly win, but it was a HUGE win, and if I am to criticize Trubisky's overall play, I should give him credit for that final play...it was bigtime.

And it was cool to see Piniero make that kick. Wish he was on our team last year.

To me, it appears Nagy reigned in Mitch... Shrunk the playbook... Wouldn't allow him to toss more than just short passes which is why you're seeing frustration from the Wide Outs in Tweets (Anthony Miller's cryptic tweet today, Allen Robinson's descent on Mitch last week). And yes, run the ball more, a lot more, eat up that clock. That appears to be the motis operendi for the system under Mitch and Nagy.

Now this could have had something to do with Fangio and his utter and complete knowledge of the Nagy system and of Mitch's glaring weaknesses... Have to wait until next week to see how this plays out.

I'm with BD in that Mitch simply has to run the ball more. No, not turn into a "running" QB, but take advantage of the RPO on more occasions with his feet. He's actually pretty quick and has some good cuts in his runs.

So many idiots in this thread and their idiotic evaluations of Trubisky and the offense. Where do i begin?

* Trubisky has made big improvement reading defenses. Just because he's not executing doesn't mean he can't read defenses. He does still have problems spotting open receivers, but that doesn't mean he can't read defenses. Most of his throws are to receivers in single coverage. The problem is he's just wildly inaccurate that even if he's throwing it in the right place, he's not accurate enough to execute.

* Nagy did not reign in Mitch. Mitch is not intentionally not running. He's doing what the defense is giving him. This notion that Mitch needs to simply "run more" to be successful is absurd and shows what a bunch of morons we have in here. Every defense in the NFL is going to make sure to take away Mitch's running and to make him pass in the pocket. I mean the packers defenders basically said this. You can't just tell Mitch to just run. This is not a video game. They are taking away his running and forcing him to throw in the pocket and Mitch can't do it. That's the problem.

I'm not sure you can correct inaccuracy. Which is THE problem for Mitch Trubisky. He's good at first read short passes but anything that requires touch of any sort, he sucks at.

I believe I was just about the last person to get on Trubisky's bandwagon last year. Looks like I moved too soon. A rare miss by the genius.

Beengay fudgepackers: "I called Trubisky was going to be great before you did!"

I don't ever follow your lead.
The context of that post was in a joking manner. My belief over the summer was that this was the year he breaks out or busts. I was calling Trubs a bust a day before you were on here. You’re following my lead.
