Was really hoping he would stay with Packers... really like him as player and person. Very high character guy and productive when he can be on the field. Only issue is injuries this past year and turns 30 this year ... but for a RB entering his 8th year, he does not have a lot of mileage on him.

I think he is very underrated player.. can run (averages 5 yards for career), catch and block on passing downs... one of the few times I do not like former Packer going to division rival.

Wish him a ton of success for 15 of his games this year and modest success in the other 2 :suds:

Don't care about Cousins leaving one bit. We knew exactly what the ceiling was with him in Minnesota under this regime, as well as one regime before it. They weren't going to the Superbowl with him. It is what it is.

Is it worth the price to move up into the top 5 to pick JJ Mcarthy, or would they be better off getting Nix or Pennix in the 2nd round?

Hopefully Kwesi and KOC get on same page

This article is a year old, but it really should make you think twice about using a lot of draft capital to move up and get a QB.

I hear ya. It's a huge risk, especially when they'll need to dump a lot of draft capital to move up enough to get a QB. Looks like they're going for J.J. McCarthy.

The thing is, at this point, I've long since accepted that I'm most likely not going to live to witness a Vikings Super Bowl win. So I'm content to see them take a drastically different approach then I've seen in my lifetime so far. The closest this team has done to that in forever was Ponder at #12, who we all knew at the time was a massive reach that high.

Plus, KOC was partially brought in under the concept that he could be someone to develop a young franchise QB. With Cousins out, they might as well pull the trigger and see if they can get lucky and strike gold. Because let's be real here, the alternative is what, more endless middling to bad seasons? I'm over it, go all out as long as they don't get Herschel Walker'd, I'm good with it.

Welp, we're in that point of the year when it's gonna be a boring few months. Seems extra prolongued when they just had a bad year and are set to almost certainly have another bad year or two. All I can say is, they'd better wind up landing their guy at QB from the draft and not having that slip away to some other team. What a massive waste that would be.

go big or go home

Sounds like they wanted to get stroud last year, and I don't think any of would complain

What would upset me the most is if they don't trade up and land their guy, then settle on someone at 11 as a reach. I'm sick of that strategy. Ponder, T-Jax being our most recent examples. Time to change it up. If they can't land one of their top guys, then they need to consider this a pure gap year and prepare to do what it takes to make something happen in the 2025 draft instead.
