Well, looks like it's already that time of year. The 2023 Vikings season is toast, so onto 2024.

I wonder what their draft position looks like right now? Assuming they lose out, which I'm sure they will.


I think it's all but a forgone conclusion that they end up resigning Cousins now. Initially after the injury, it seemed like everyone was ready to move on from Kirk. Pretty sure that seeing how brutal life without competent QB play is like again cemented them either bringing him back, or maybe Russell Wilson. Gotta say it's most likely Kirk though, even Justin Jefferson has been stumping for his return.

Definitely need to draft a QB within the first couple rounds this year though, imo. They've got to stop neglecting that. Get a guy to sit behind Kirk for a couple years, then turn him loose.

Not sold on O'Connell, this teams seems to be unprepared most of the time...and they have no fight in them.

I hear you, believe me. I'm not totally sold on KOC either. That being said, unless next year goes even worse than this year by a couple more losses, I see no way they fire KOC before the 2026 season. He's nowhere near the hot seat yet in the eyes of the ownership, and that's the only thing that actually matters. Because of that, the idea of this team after KOC isn't even on my radar quite yet.

No, it's been disappointing, but when your QB's are Mullens, Dobbs, and Hall it's hard to expect too much

I'm disappointed that we still don't have a run game or screen game. Don't think he should be on the hot seat, but next year needs to show better

We'll see

There is more talent than what the doom and gloomers are about, but we definitely need a talent infusion in Rb room, CB, LB, and DL

Even first drive they went 3 and out and 4th down stop wasn't due our defense, love just missed wide open Wr

Love looks he'll be good QB but his accuracy isn't behind the elite QBs. We'll see.

First TD pass was a beaut, but he'll miss ones too.

I'm not very sure that the Viking fans that will see them win the SB have even been born yet.

2 int's for Mullens...he preserved a higher draft pick. He should be the teams MVP.

I heard some people talking about the Vikes saying how happy they were they lost that last game to help with the draft pick. They were gushing about how it's time to get a QB, questioning how much Kirk has left in the tank, talking about how the defense sucks. This conversation went on for maybe 10 minutes.

The only thing I contributed was to let them know that I'm already assuming they'll waste their top pick on some CB that doesn't pan out, or something along those lines. Thanks @fknhippie for ingraining that into me lol. They laughed it off and were like "yeah, yeah... hopefully not though, right? Lol", almost like they knew I was right despite the fact that they are evidently less jaded and less done with being hopeful for this team than I am these days.
