I was so mad to see those gorgeous plays Bevell was calling. WHY U NO CALL PLAYS LIKE THAT FOR US???

To be fair, Bevell has a much better offense right now that has had time to gel than he ever did in Minnesota, aside from 2009 with Favre. Pretty hard to do much when the rest of his years here, he had TJax and Gus Ferreote as QBs, a worn out, beat up Favre followed by TJax again in 2010 when Favre went down, and AD being one of the select few skill position players we had other than Favre and Harvin for two of his years here.

Well he had pieces like Harvin and Peterson and Rice and people who have all been really good or successful elsewhere.

Not to mention that Chili was the boss.

"Offensive guru". He was offensive indeed :)

When he got fired all my guy friends started texting me, "Did you hear?? Did you hear?" Uh, yeah, I was out celebrating!!!

It's a shame that in the last 20 years the Vikes have two Super Bowl Winning teams but were lead by two coaches who could be outcoached by a donkey in a miniskirt.

If anyone but Denny and Mustache were coaching the team we would have at least 2 Championships and probably more during Denny's run...

Denny Green taking a knee with 30 secs on the clock and the highest scoring offense in league history (at the time) on the field puts him squarely as the worst Vikings coach ever in my book. Even rates him worse than Steckel.

I don't think I have ever agreed with anything more in my life!

What makes it even worse is at the end of the first half he wanted to rub it in and go for more and Cunningham fumbled and Atlanta ended up scoring to close it to what I think was 20 - 14

Vikes should have had 3 title runs in that time frame - '98 against Atlanta, the 2000 41 - donought loss to the Giants, and the '09 loss to New Orleans. All 3 losses were inexcusable. Especially that Giants loss, Vikes should have been able to win that game and got spanked raw red by the Superbowl losers.

I want to see the Vikings FINALLY win a game against New England. I can't remember the last time we beat them. The Vikes have always given Brady insane amounts of time to throw, and he of course picks them apart as a result. I want to see Barr put Brady on the ground hard.

Shame the Rams appear to be god awful so we don't yet know how nice of a performance that was yesterday. Either way, I loved the ass kicking win in Zimmer's debut.

Hopefully we can stick it to the Pats now!!

One thing to keep in mind is, while the Rams might be a terrible team, at the very least, if the Vikings truly are a decent team (there is still hope this year), then they finally dished out a thrashing that they should on a bad team. Crappy teams rarely humiliate other crappy teams at their house. So I would say the Vikes are most likely at least not total bottom feeders.

Hooray for not being bottom feeders!

Now if we can just build on that...

At least this year we know we don't have to deal with the Ponder experiment any more. Cassel is looking waaay better being a proven NFL QB. Maybe only average, but definitely serviceable.

No more so than Ponder would have been. I think Cassels longest ball was 10 yards before the receiver ran with it. I know the longest of the day was that 3 yard dump to Reisner that he got 23 out of. Vikes had more rushing yards than passing.

Make no mistake, Ponder IS a better QB than Cassel is. Zimmer likes guys with experience though. And until they feel Teddy is Reddy, Cassel is likely to get the call. Until he trips on his dick that is. And he will...

Sooner or later. Its in his history... :D

You mean kind of like Ponder did?

But yeah, probably.
