Sorry. I do not know what brand or the model number of the pressure gauges used. I can tell you that the .4PSI difference is not uncommon between two identical models. Most pressure gauges have a tolerance set at a % of full scale. That % is set based upon the full range, if it is an absolute pressure gauge, differential pressure gauge, the ambient air temperature, and the humidity where it is being tested.
So with this very limited information it is entirely probable and possible that both gauges are within the manufacturing specifications set BT the manufacturer.
Just so you know I am a manager of a calibration laboratory and have calibrated this shit for the past 13 years.
Also the scientist in the OP forgot to mention that he is using this equipment in a stable and controlled environment. Not on the sideline or locker room of an NFL field. So I call Bullshit on him.
