Getting Trent back in the building would be huge. We had a window to really get something for him, but Bruce was too stubborn and prideful. We'd be lucky to get a 2and at this point.

That was one of the things I liked about Gibbs. Oh, Coles, you don't like it here, give me Santana. Champ you want out and you are promising not to re-up here, let me cut my losses and get Clinton.

It would just make the draft this year so much easier.

I think you listen to offers for TW, who made his bed.

If you get a first rounder, then I think you trade him, knowing full well that most likely if the redskins take Young at #2, then they’re looking for oline help with their extra #1.

I’d even take that second and a player for Trent.

I'd take a 1st for Trent. I just don't think we get that at this point with him being a year away from free agency.

The best thing about Trent "That's what dogs do" Williams indicating he might be willing to come back is that in helps the Skins leverage in a trade. Trade the bleeper. We need a 2nd rounder.

While I am a proponent on talking to Trent about coming back, if we could get a 1st for him in the next draft, I'd take that trade.

I wouldnt. Heres why.

This team used to have a legacy. We used to draft guys who retired as Redskins after a solid to great career. We used to have a connection to the players and the team.

That is gone. We need to get it back.

They should be kissing Trents ass to come back, and retire as a Redskin in 3-4 years.

I don’t care. A paper bag and an apple.

Not exactly the way to build a championship caliber team. Or even a playoff worthy one.

trading TW for anything offered is pretty much the worst thing the redskins could do with one of their best players.

This is doing exactly what everyone bitched about Allen doing. Letting emotions rule business decisions. Allen refused to consider a trade because he wanted to "win" with TW (similar to the KC situation). Even tho it was obvious it was in the best interests of the team to do so. TW can help this team and help Haskins develop. That is in the best interest of the franchise.

Not really. I would obviously look at trades and take the best offer. Not allowing him back is a good decision. He has been out of football for more than a year and likely a little rusty to accompany the extra year of aging. It also sets a bad precedence in any club house of the inmates running the asylum, which would be especially true in DC.

Trent may be able to help in the short term but there will be other options better for this team to prosper. We could do more with his cap space to help this team than bring him back.

he also has one less year of wear and tear , which could have helped him long term . it helped riggo

i dont trade him unless we get a good deal for him . i think he has 3-4 top years left
