Keeping trent is a stop gap move
stop gap his ass to Cincinnati.
For what? The 33rd pick in the draft?!?!
While I am a proponent on talking to Trent about coming back, if we could get a 1st for him in the next draft, I'd take that trade.
I don’t care. A paper bag and an apple.
This is doing exactly what everyone bitched about Allen doing. Letting emotions rule business decisions. Allen refused to consider a trade because he wanted to "win" with TW (similar to the KC situation). Even tho it was obvious it was in the best interests of the team to do so. TW can help this team and help Haskins develop. That is in the best interest of the franchise.I don’t care. A paper bag and an apple.

he also has one less year of wear and tear , which could have helped him long term . it helped riggoNot really. I would obviously look at trades and take the best offer. Not allowing him back is a good decision. He has been out of football for more than a year and likely a little rusty to accompany the extra year of aging. It also sets a bad precedence in any club house of the inmates running the asylum, which would be especially true in DC.
Trent may be able to help in the short term but there will be other options better for this team to prosper. We could do more with his cap space to help this team than bring him back.
