I don't get why this is considered backtracking. It sounds to me he is just explaining how Americans speak English to people who apparently don't understand. When you say you're going to win, it means you believe that you are going to win (which hopefully all coaches and players believe) and if you don't win then you were simply wrong. If you say you guarantee a win (which he didn't do) you're usually implying that if you don't win you will offer some kind of payment or remedy to the people who are affected by your incorrect prediction.

With all the injuries in this one, it tough to say. It's tough to win with how awful the eagle's secondary has played and lack of discipline (all the penalties). I know it's shocking but I got the Cowboys at home in this one. It will probably be a nail bitter though.

Stranger things have happened.

The Eagles secondary wasn't that much different than when they headed into GB in a game in which I thought they would get crushed.

I actually think this is a must win game for either team.

If the Eagles can't throw down the field, it'll be up to their screen game, which has been awfully quiet this season.
Pederson has made some puzzling decisions recently and our inability to score in the 1st quarter and letting the other team score on their first possession has been frustrating.

If this game is close in the 4th quarter, I like our chances if this comes down to coaching decisions.

Coin-flip game = I automatically lean home team

Philly is going to make Dak and the Cowboys passing attack look good. Similar to the first three weeks of the season. Dallas's D will slow Wentz and the Philly offense. If Zeke gets anything going; this might not even be that close of a game. However, Philly's run D is pretty solid.

All they have to do is put 8 in the box on first down and dallas will already be 2nd and 8 for every set of downs.

Who the hell knows with these two teams. Last year, the Cowboys were reeling and got trounced by Mariota and the Titans after a bye week and went into Philly and won and kept on winning. This year it might be Philly. Or they just tie and the Giants win this division. Who the fuck knows? The vaunted NFCE appears to be the weakest division in the conference.

The Eagles dropped 7 in that Atlanta game. It hasn’t been a season long problem. It was a one game epic melt down.
