J.R. is the last Cav to go before the trade deadline. Maybe they can get another 1st and take another bad contract LOL

Cleveland will send Alec Burks to the Kings, and Rockets send Brandon Knight, Marquese Chriss and a protected first to Cavaliers, sources tell ESPN.

so thus far the Cavs have taken on the long term deals of Delly, Henson and Knight- by trading expiring contracts of Burks, and Hill.

Is this what you meant with the Cavs "saving money" with their trades DJ, or can you admit you were just clueless?

Yeah, Gilbert has been trading off players to save $ also.....stop being stupid.
I cannot believe how stupid this post is of yours

saying that the Cavs trades are saving money when they are doing the exact opposite. This really just proves to me that you have no clue what is going on and have zero understanding of how contracts work. I cannot over state how clueless you look and how stupid this comment of yours is.

The Cavs have got rid of Korver, who they got Burks with, and Hill---- and took back Delly, Knight, and Henson- adding millions upon millions to their payroll in order to basically buy 6 2nd rounders and 2 1st rounders

and you have the absolute stupidity to say that the Cavs trades "saved" Gilbert money.

DJ- this posts takes the cake- even for you. holy shit man.

seems like a pretty good haul to me for Korver and Hill---- but lets be honest- its Dan Gilbert's check book and him allowing the CAvs to take back millions upon millions in salary for Delly, Henson and Knight next year that let this happen.

The nice part about it is that while those contracts they absorbed are not great- they all expire next year- and can all be rolled up into deals at next years trade deadline to acquire even more picks.

Thanks for writing them checks Danny boy.

his contract has the most value this summer.

i wonder if they keep him for that- or if they just cut him

at this point they really cant take back much more money and still be below the tax line- which they NEED to be to get out of the repeater tax.

it might just be time to part ways with good ole JR.

if they use his contract to take back a big bad contract- the team that is getting JR would obviously cut him- but it would put the Cavs over the tax line- and tehy have been over the tax line for so many straight years that they need to be under it because the penalties are cray cray

so the Cavs basically gave up all their cap space this summer for 2 1st round picks and 6 2nd round picks

ill take it.

take one more year next year....and then get on with the franchise.

It'd weird seeing the Wizards doing the smart thing for once. If they trade Beal, we should probably head for the bunker. It'll definitely be the Apocalypse

I think its more of them are coming in earlier. Last year was pretty quiet and then all hell broke loose with like 2 hours left, the craziest being the Cavs trading half their team

It does feel like teams have been more active. I posted a picture for the Kings to do something earlier today and they've made two trades since, maybe they saw my comment.

Hmm that is an interesting one
Way better than interesting for the Mavs. By trading Barnes and his $25 million salary for Jackson's rookie deal plus Randolph's expiring contract, the Mavs have created the ability to add a Max contract this summer. Playing alongside Doncic and KP might be pretty attractive to a Kyrie, KD or Klay when compared to playing beside an older LBJ(and nothing else) or the 14% chance that the Knicks get Zion. Not to mention no state income tax on a max deal in Texas vs New York and L.A.

Lakers should’ve moved on from AD to get Beal and porter

Trading him now would be better then. Since you would have zero money owed rather than partial money next year.
