More of a lack of viable alternatives. I feel pretty good with the top 7. After that there are a bunch of guys grouped to
It isn't just a lack of production. Rodgers' deep ball has gone MIA this year. When he was the top dog in the NFL the guy was the best deep ball passer in the league. For whatever reason he's really tapered off in that regard which has dropped down his overall play a lot.
Just compare him playing 2 years ago to today and you can see his mechanics are all over the place. He just doesn't have the same trust in his own arm that he has had in the past to fit passes into ridiculous windows. And when you start losing confidence you stop trusting your eyes when you see something which has resulted in him pulling down a lot of passes and doing his dance around hoping somebody will get open thing we keep seeing. He hasn't fully fallen off the map but he definitely isn't the same player that we saw a couple of years ago when there was really no question he was the best QB in the league. If I were him I would spend the entire off season just working on mechanics again and building that trust in his arm.
