This one's tough between Bonds and Cobb. I don't think Aaron is in the same category as those other two.

Cobb I never saw play. Bonds, I did, several times. Mainly, I think it would piss Cobb off if I vote for Bonds, so that's what I'll do.

hmmm...if I were a skeptic I'd think this one is using 3 players instead of 2 to eliminate the anti-Bonds votes and get the win for the Giant :D

It'll be between Aaron & Bonds, like the main poll... I think Cobbs is a step below...

The OG HR King - vs The Imposter?

A LOT of evidence that the whole “Racist Cobb” narrative was complete BS, created by a writer who just didnt like Cobb…

The winner still needs 50+1 to win. That makes no sense.

He was the OG stat padder! Basically hit 18 home runs a year for 30 years. That's some first class longevity but otherwise not a great player during most of his career.

Aaron is the greatest accumulator in the history of the game. IMHO, he belongs lower down in the top 10 (probably just below Robinson and Henderson). But his accumulation was damn impressive…

I think calling him “not great” is a stretch, but his WAR7 just doesn’t compete with the others still on the board.

Based on Aaron's commentary on Bonds IIRC then it would bother Aaron, too
Bonds should have just kept it to handfuls of greenies. If he did that, Aaron would have felt a true kinship with Bonds.

Its kinda crazy that young Bonds War7 is actually above Aarons. It does put into perspective how good Bonds was on the Pirates.

Even with Aaron maybe padding his TBs by 250 he still is the Total Bases King. It pains me to say this but I think Pujols is actually the ultimate accumulator. His stint on the Angels just didnt do him justice and maybe that was the shift because his last year in STL was respectable.

Worth mentioning that actual #2 WAR7 is Hornsby, right?.
