I just think it's funny how he think their offense is going to be the best the league has seen in the last 10-20 years

Maybe James will demand that the basket that the Cavs are shooting at will always be 8" bigger in diameter then their opponents.

Dellavedova is a D-Leaguer....He averaged 4.7ppg and 2.6apg in almost 18mpg on a bad team. That's not spare playing time, that's a lot. As your primary backup to Irving, that's a scary thought if and when Irving gets hurt. Not hating, just talking as an NBA fan.

He won't play much, they have three guys that can handle the ball Lebron, Waiters, and Kyrie. Not many, but he probably won't get many minutes, but all 3 of those guys are starters.

Yeah. I get that Cavs fans are excited. I remember how excited Heat fans were when they got Lebron and Bosh to join D-Wade. If the Lakers had landed Lebron and were looking at probably getting Love too, I'd be beside myself.

But it seems that in all of the excitement, there needs to be some common sense and understanding that simply adding a couple of top FA's doesn't guarantee anything.

The Heats big 3 went to 4 straight finals and won 2 of them. ANY team would be thrilled with that. Yet, the overall feeling is that the Heat underachieved to a certain degree. Those teams were generally better and more experienced than what the Cavs are looking to put out there.

The Lakers with Dwight, Nash and Kobe turned out to be a freakin' train wreck instead of the team that was going to get Kobe at least 2 more rings before he retired that everyone said they'd be.

Haywood missed all of last season and is 35. He's not that good anymore, especially if he struggles coming back from that injury.

Their starters aren't old, some of the bench is.

Most of the bench is when you think about it. At least the guys who will be getting most of the minutes assuming Ray & Marion signs with them. BTW just like the Cavs, Miami until March 24th this season had 3 players in the starting lineup under 30 and sometimes actually 4 in previous years.

Kyrie Irving. Lebron is the real point guard.

You're semi joking but I've asked before.

Final 6 minutes of the game, whose primary ball handler?

We all know its going to be James.

Bosh just turned 30, Wade is 32, Lebron is 29, Chalmers is 28, and if you add Battier or Haslem not under 30.

He Heat were much older than Cleveland is. Two starters under 30, 3 with Bosh before.

Cleveland will have:

Kyrie 22
Waiters 22
Lebron 29
Love 25
Varajeo 31 (will be 32)

3 starters (Varejao, Love and Irving) that are injury prone. If Marion, Allen, Miller, Dellavedova and Haywood have to play big mpg they are in trouble.

You do realize Lebron will be 30 before they play 30 games right? Love will also be 26 by the time camp opens

BTW this was year 4 of the Heat together. It is better if you look at year 1 instead to have a similar comparison

In year 1 Bosh was 26, Lebron 25, Wade 28, Chalmers 24, and Haslem was 30.

In year 4 of the Cavs, Kyrie will be 26, Lebron will be approaching 34, Love will be 30 years old. I don't think Waiters or Varajeo will be on the roster in 4 years

You guys make way too much out of defense. So you think Tim Duncan, Splitter, and Ginobili at their ages are defensive greats?

Tim Duncan was #4 in the entire league in defensive rating.
Even at age 38, he is one of the absolute best defenders in the game. He is still elite.

Manu Ginobili has been an elite defender for his career. Old age has slowed him down to being merely a good defender. But, He still hasn't slowed down to pathetic Kyrie Irving levels.

Tiago Splitter is younger than Lebron. So, I am not sure what "at their ages" means for him, unless you are meaning that Lebron is an old man who cannot play defense anymore???

Yet the names on Cavs list spent far more time on injury list.

C'mon DJ. You know that Lebron has magical healing powers. If any of those guys get hurt, Lebron will just go all Mr. Miyagi and fix them right up.

They still have the younger core. TT, Waiters, Kyrie, Dellavedova, Love all under 25.
