Finals record directly relates to how many times a player achieved their ultimate goal.
# of Championships is what you are looking for
Finals record directly relates to how many times a player achieved their ultimate goal.
The reason being is because it's a stat - and those are the things used in debates my friend. Again, it can't just be excluded because it's a negative. A Finals record directly relates to how many times a player achieved their ultimate goal. IMO that is a pretty huge supporting factor.
Uh, yeah when those others are beclowning themselves...
Is that not the ultimate goal - especially for LBJ?
One could turn ANYTHING into a stat....doesn't mean it's necessarily more valid than the next.
We could use this stat: # of times in the finals/total seasons, and Lebron comes out pretty well, no?
Finals record doesn't relate to how many times they achieved their goal, but finals wins does.
So you want us to consider "any stat"? So stats that you can pull out of your arse rather than the ACTUAL stats that are kept by the league?
So are you trying to tell me that a Finals record doesn't include how many times they've actually WON in the Finals?
I just can't...
I said I'd rather have a WINNING RECORD- you were the one that ran with it & added numbers.Finals record doesn't include how many times they didn't make the playoffs or finals, hence it doesn't fully show how many times you didn't accomplish the job. This is a very simple concept....
The fact that you'd rather be 1-0 in the finals than 3-5 is telling of your reasoning...winning less rings is better

Haha. It's pretty bad too- I mean the camera caught a pretty good view of it the last time they played the Celts. The baldness goes all the way back past the crown of his head.LeBron's ultimate goal should be to find a hair replacement product that works or find a barber to shave his dome. But he's a busy guy. So he can look into that when his playing days are over. Unless his hair completely falls out before that.

Well now you're just throwing bait out there for a whole different debate. The more Finals wins the better, hell yeah! That's why I always say: Robert 'bigshot bob' Horry (7 rings) > Michael 'shoulda got more rings' Jordan (6).

Well, you know sometimes a person throws shit up in the air and hope it sticks, but I don't hate LeBron. He is one of the best players in the NBA and certainly the best since Kareem and Magic - but I don't gauge greatness by stats only, because stats only does not always give a person a complete picture. I don't gauge a person by greatness by championships alone either because that does not give a complete picture by itself either. You assumed that you're the one 1 in this thread that doesn't like LeBron? Not buying that one. Both cheifslakers67 & shaqdaddy have posted in this thread & neither of them can stand LeBalding One. I have to admit though I would get a good laugh from the comments of Lakers fans if he's wearing the Purple & Gold next year. It could possibly make for some quality entertainment. Oh please let this happen!
I would imagine most LBJ fans would agree with your point - since he happens to be in the predicament of having more losses than wins. But fans of other great players with winning records probably really haven't had to think of it from that perspective. And if the winning record comes with less finals wins, that means you're OK with winning less rings.....
And that's ridiculous...no player wants to win less rings.
Yes You would - and we would to about the Celtics - No rivalry has ever been like the Lakers and Celtics - Come on nowFuck up the program? When I have ever said something negative about your team? I would never do something like that.
