If he leads a third team to a championship, something no one has ever done, he is top 2.
No question about it and what makes Jordan considered to be the goat is 6-0 in the finals - If I went with a goat though

Wilt Chamberlain
Michael Jordan

are absolutely the all time greats - from there it is debatable due to the mixed combination of stats and etc, but in spite of a losing record, Jerry West was Mr Clutch and with 27, 6 rebounds and 7 assists - that's pretty good

I might put Oscar Robertson as #3 with 25.7 ppg 7.5 rpg and 9.5 apg - extremely impressive but I have to admit that given the choice of 26 ppg and 10 rebound like Kareem or 27 points and 9 assists like LeBron - the assists are points and only 50 of the rebounds ends up in the basket as best -

Well like I said - the championship trips and wins appears to be a huge deciding factor for most people - But win or lose Wilt was the greatest ever and the only player to score 100 points. Only Kobe's 80 comes close

I am pretty sure that in the last 60 years of basketball, there have been more then a few dozen players with stats just as good as LeBron.

more than a few dozen people with stats as good as LeBron??

I would genuinely enjoy seeing this list.

And it hurt's West's legacy as well which is why he isn't top 10 all time. Its about what you do on the big stage, and the fact Lebron couldn't even maintain a WINNING finals record knocks him down the peg from those who could.

Yeah he might have shit the bed in that series vs the Mavs but other than that you can only do so much, the teams Lebron has played are much better than who MJ played. The Warriors alone aren’t even close to the competition MJ ever beat. A huge gap

Wilt is the perfect example of why it is problematic to use team success to define individual greatness.

Team success is not being used to define greatness by your camp though

I don't really have a camp. MJ, Lerbon, and Magic are the 3 greatest players I ever watched play. Dr. J gets honorable mention in that group as well. Kareem was at the tail end of his career when I started watching basketball. Never saw Wilt play or anyone from the 60s-70s.

But numbers don't lie. Wilt was an unstoppable force.

said it before and i'll say it again, it's been proven 5 times in his own career he's not needed to win titles...

so no, STILL don't want him...:finger:

let him rot in Cleveland...

The Lakers have 15 championship titles and how many does Cleveland have again? ONE

The Lakers will come back and win more - Cleveland will never win again once LeBron leaves:pound::pound::pound::pound:
