He has made the playoffs in all 17 seasons he's played. He just passed Kareem Abdul Jabbar for all-time playoff minutes. He is scattered all over the all-time stats. Is he the greatest PF of all time?

Where does he rank amongst all players?

I would say he's the best PF of all time but it's near impossible to be ranked amongst guys like MJ, Magic, Kareem and Wilt.

Yeah, if you look at the overall career, he's the best of all time. But maybe the most underrated PF of all time would have to be Chris Webber. Even though he didn't get a ring, he might have been the most talented big man in the game.

IMO, he is the most unselfish player in NBA history. He picked up right after David Robinson retired, and has turned into a great leader for the team. Rarely, do you ever see him lose his cool or composure. I don't think there has been a more consistent team in the past 10-15 years, and Duncan is responsible for so much of that success.

According to him, he has never commited a foul either.

But ya, he is the best PF.

5 rings spread out like this furthers his greatness.

he epitomizes a team first attitude, and he took less money to build around him.

You also have to credit Spurs for having an aligned organization, a plan, and building constantly via the draft

The Spurs are old school and maybe, just maybe new school

Imagine if Boston got that lottery ball? How different the league would be right now....

PF...that's tall, tall order, Malone, and McHale give him a run for his money imo, Idk if he was better, but his standard has been so high for so long and he was the main cog on the most of those championship teams...I think you have to say yes.

All players...off the top of my head I'm thinking top 50.

Ahead of Kobe and Shaq although Shaq's prime does beat his prime. Ahead of Bird imo.

Russell, Wilt and Kareem are untouchable due to what they did in their era. Magic and MJ are effectively untouchable because their numbers should be better if other things didnt get in their way (HIV, baseball). So if he pads his career, Duncan could make an argument for 6th all time.

That's all fine and dandy.

I could care less where he ranks all time. Just as long as he and the Spurs win on Sunday.

Steve, I know I know, and so does Pitino. But it was not meant to be.

What makes the Spurs so great and Duncan is the ability to adjust and run different offenses. Duncan especially is so reliable and "fundamental".

The fact that he like Russell did the little things that go unnoticed makes him extra special.

Screw it. Tim Duncan is a center and has been for the better part of 10 years. He can call himself whatever he wants but how they run their system, he's in a center's role. Either way though, he's a top 10 player all time

I have Tim Duncan right behind MJ, Magic, Kareem and Shaq. But he's without a doubt the best PF of all-time. The man's 38 and is still a 20 and 10 on any given night.

I would say without a doubt that Duncan is now for sure a top 10 player all time. I doubt he will be on many people's top 5 list, but I would say he is an equal of Kobe Bryant.

If I ranked the top 10 right now I would go:

1- MJ
2-Russell
3-Magic
4- Kareem
5- Wilt
6- Duncan
7- Bird
8- Kobe
9- The Big O
10- Hakeem

This isn't debatable; he's on the Mount Rushmore of "WHAT? No way I committed a foul?" faces
