Shanny is busy writing his "explanation" why it is not a suspension. He called the Flyers this morning to see how Couterier and Giroux are doing. The number was busy so he is waiting to determine what the "injuries" are.....

In other news the Ottawa Senators have been fined $100,000 and have had Chris Neil suspended 2 games for abuse of a goal post using a vulcanized rubber projectile.

Released at the same time was news that Sidney Crosby would not be suspended for gouging out Kimmo Timmonen's eye and skull-fucking him at center ice. Based on the, as yet unknown, extent of Timmonen's injuries Crosby may receive a fine.
