Not a lawyer, but wouldn't that be a felony? So spycraft is illegal in college sports unless you are spying on spies, in which case there won't be any questions asked? And this "third party private investigative firm" isn't on some other school's payroll? If they accessed Michigan's football program's computers then isn't that also extremely troubling to anyone?
One would think. Wasn't the FBI also just on the UM campus regarding improper access of Michigan's computers? Could that possibly be related?? This is such a bizarre (and stupid) story. In a world where every single game is televised and recorded 10x over, the rule is that you can't have a staff member attend the game and record it themselves? Not a lawyer, but wouldn't that be a felony?

Obviously, teams are going to scout future opponents, and obviously this includes viewing their tape. It is a well-established practice to steal signs at the game, but somehow you have to pretend you don't see how an opponent does their signage in their past games. It's all insane to me.
All reports are saying a private investigative organization handed it to the NCAA though right? I thought the reporting ruled out any FBI involvement.as said on the other site the most logical thought process is the FBI came across this info and handed it to the NCAA
