He said he wanted a Tacoma. And if you had read my post on towing you'd know that I would pick an F250 or an F350. In diesel preferably. But I wouldnt really want one as a daily driver.

You stated that then you stated than none of the big three produce anything that last in the "real world" of "Off-roading". And I corrected that statement with the fact that off-roading is not real world it is a hobby or sport. It is not the everyday use that most trucks go through. In that real world the Tacoma is generally useless.

In Fact you stated that there is no more real world experience than the Camel series. WRONG!!! Specialized vehicles that are purpose built to race are not made for the real world. They cannot do everyday real world things. They have to be towed on a trailer to their races. That is like saying that an F1 or NASCAR is better in the real world than a Charger, Challenger, or Mustang. Not even the same type of vehicle.

Damn, what am I missing here? These are dirt cheap... I'm against buying new, but I'm seeing used trucks with plenty of miles on them for the same price as this. There are a ton of exactly what I'm looking for around the $28K area.

I really like my Honda Ridgeline, it's a 4 door short bed 4WD truck with a trunk, that can pull a 21.5 foot ski boat, has no problems hauling 0.5 ton of gravel or dirt, and it gets average gas millage. I once had to pull an Silverado out of a mud hole that my Ridgeline just got done going through. I take it hunting all the time, pull my boat to the river with it and it's also a good family truck that we take when we go on long road trips and vacations.

I might lease a new truck. The lease prices on F-150s were so stinkin' low I couldn't believe it...must have a very good depreciation rate. It was only like 325 per mo. for a $40k truck.
