At full speed the hit looked fine to me... when they slowed it down and basically got cameras close enough to perform a public colonoscopy it looked bad. That said, I see wide receivers and runningbacks dive and get hit by defenders like this ALL the time (often times head on) with no flag called. And as some fans (mostly Eagles) have said, he did not 'give himself up', that is ONLY when you slide.

Either way could've been flagged.. I don't think an ejection was necessary at that point (maybe in College but that rule in College is stupid anyway). So a flag sure.. 15 yards. Maybe if the refs had gotten a BLATANT offsides correctly called against the Eagles earlier in the game (where Wilson thought it was a flag, threw deep into triple coverage) that not occurring resulted in 4th down, I'd be more sympathetic.

No one questioned Josh McCown's toughness before Sunday's Eagles game, but now we have one more log for the storytelling fire.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported that McCown tore his hamstring off the bone in the second quarter of the 17-9 loss to the Seahawks and played through the injury.

McCown will undergo surgery, with a six-month recovery timetable, Garafolo added.
