Seeing a lot of chatter that the Jones trade (Spencer Knight and a 1st) with just 26% retention making Jones a $7M or so player should mean good things for Risto's value. Jones is probably the better player, but maybe not dramatically? Risto's 5M expiring next year (age 31) compared to Jones' 7M expiring in in 2030 (age 35) is much more attractive though. Plus Jones has a modified NTC and was squawking in the media about wanting to be moved.

Man. If the Flyers fetch even just a 1st for Risto, what a turnaround that would be. Kudos to Torts and Shaw for sure.
Well looks like we're stuck again. Yea! get to keep 2 players who don't move the needle in our growth movement at all. Briere is a failure in this one. SMH.:L

Sounds like he will definitely get dealt. That's a lot of teams involved. This will drive the price up, especially as the deadline fast approaches. Less than 3 days remaining, altogether.

Sucks to be a goalie in Philly tonight. There were enough scoring chances in that 1st period for an entire game. Jesus!! Game definitely not over yet. Pretty much anything could happen.
The Flyers just have not yet recovered from the Carter Hart fiasco. All the attempts to get a decent goalie and this is the state of the Flyers right now. Maybe Danny B should really focus on the Goalie and a Center positions in the next draft?
