Laughton is exactly the type of player to help a team over a long playoff run. These other GMs generally "know hockey" so PAY UP!

Dreger says the Flyers ask for Risto is a 1st, a prospect, and a player. Laughton price is "a haul".

Not going to get a better market than having the top RHD and top C on the block on deadline day. Get it done Danny.

The right play is trading what you can to acquire assets while technically weakening the team to ensure a better pick.
If they play this right and get 1st rounders and/or a good prospect for Risto and Laughts each, I'm ok with that.

If they don't make a trade, then I have questions.

Beauvillier to the Caps for a 2nd round pick. Wonder if Washington is hesitant to move a first in the chase of a cinderella season.

If it were me, I'd be all in for the Caps. Ride the wave of Ov's last ride and do what you can. Not that I am biased and want them to send all their picks to the Flyers or anything.

I think this whole Frost Farabee trade was for cap savings only ,otherwise its a pretty lateral move only getting a 3rd and 2nd and Pelltier for them.
