Like everyone has already stated: We are back to dogshit level again! And losing will be the order of the day like just last evening against the JETS. Gosh we looked horrible.

That is just stupid shit accepting a 2027 First Rounder.
Maybe the leafs will suck more then? I dunno I can't be bothered to figure it out.

We need to win the lottery or fold up shop.

That pick doesn't help until at least 2030 if it even ever helps at all.

They'll probably package the '27 1st in another trade to acquire a bigger piece. Obviously if we just keep acquiring picks and not hitting on them or packaging them for known quantities, it's a bit of a lost cause.

I give Danny B and company a C- on this deal. And so far as big fat F on the Risto situation.
Risto still has 2 years left, but will his value ever be higher than it is now? That is difficult to say. Another part of it is that competitive teams probably don't want to (or can't) take on his salary for now and two more seasons. He could regress and then you're stuck with him at $5.1 million.

Either way, it's amazing how quickly things change. One season you'd give a guy away for nothing and the next you won't accept anything less than a 1st rounder for him.

I'd love to see them use some of these picks to get Byram or Power out of Buffalo.

They are very successfully executing that plan.

Byram, yes. Power is making a huge bag of money already and I'm not sure he's a legit #1 defenseman, or even top pairing.

Gotta take some risks if you want this "not going to tank" rebuild to work. Sign me up for the expensive 22 year old 6'6 dman with pretty decent numbers on a terrible team. Turn him over to Torts/Shaw for a year or two and I think you really have something.

Although we did just try that with Buffalo and it hasn't been the growth journey we had hoped to be sure. So be wary.

I hear that, but that's a 6'6" kid making $8.35 million who is a -12 and has only 23 hits on the season. He's insulated a bit too because Dahlin is their bonefide, #1 defenseman.

The fans and everyone on this forum would absolutely shit all over him as a Flyer...Lol

I think Byram has played better and also should cost less.

I've given both of these guys a look in fantasy, at one time or another, this season. They're both cold now though and so is the entire franchise...Lol

I feel like the Bruins and Pens just sold off everything that wasn't nailed down. Dear Lord.

I sure wish we had a 6"6" guy like Tage Thompson though (at least once we're competitive). He's probably a perennial 100+ point player with elite talent around him. He may never quite get that opportunity in Buffalo.

Meh, Flyers fans in general shit all over every Flyer anyway. In 15 years I think Simmonds and TK are the only 2 that have been spared. Maybe Timonen. Thoresen gave a nut for the team and still he got shit from the fans.

Well, idk how he really earned that contract, quite frankly. By being big and putting up 35 points? The kid just turned 22 and he's already making nearly $60 million across 7 seasons. They took a huge gamble on the youngster and I'd rather not inherit that...Lol
