Well, we absolutely just gave that one away. 3-0 lead and then again a 4-2 lead eventually blown. This game just became way too wide open in the 2nd period. Clearly Nedeljkovic throwing a fit after getting pulled fired up the home team.

I'm not sure wtf Konecny is doing in overtime. Was he just completely gassed!? He has Malkin covered and then just leaves him, which directly led to a 2 on 1 and the easy, short range goal by Malkin. Perhaps he and Michkov got confused on who was covering Malkin and both left him, but that was a massive fucking error that essentially gave the Pens the W.

Literally, Michkov and Konecny went for a skate on their own (without the puck, mind you) on the game-winner. It almost looks like they hung their defenseman (and goalie) out to dry on purpose. Just terrible.

Either way, that's pretty much the season for both of these squads. Nothing left to play for. Sure, neither team will be mathematically out of it for awhile, but neither of us can keep the puck out of our net enough to make the playoffs.

For what it's worth, I believe we did clinch the season series against these fuckers with 5 points to their 4. That and they are still 3 points behind us, all while having played an extra game.

I do find it interesting them mentioning how slim our playoff chances are on the broadcast but literally nothing about how Shitsburgh (with Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Karlsson) is sitting dead last in the division.

Not playing good enough to make the playoffs.
Not playing poorly enough to get a bottom 5 pick.

At the moment, yes, but I still think we will pick top 5. Probably 4th overall is a good bet. The teams we've just beaten recently are struggling. Can we beat teams like Winnipeg, Tampa, Washington, Carolina, Dallas or Toronto? Well, 8 of the next 13 games are against those teams. Really tough road ahead. The schedule is easier after that, but then there's only 3 weeks left in the season.

We do this every damn season lately anyway. We lose a lot of games late in the season and miss the playoffs. It's probably going to happen again.

Not that I would wish ill will on anyone, but a timely Ersson injury would really help.

Another Flyer on the injury list because of a huge shot taken and nothing done about it.

Andrae, Poehling, Tippett and now Hathaway have or will miss games because of high hard hits.

I was watching the response to this one pretty closely. I haven't watched a ton this season, but I watched last night and Tuesday pretty closely. And I was super curious about the response to the Hathaway hit so I was looking for Imama on every shift. While a relatively clean hit structurally, it was crazy late and intent to injure IMO. But I rarely saw him.

Just checked, he only played 4:23 last night. And he only had 1 shift after the hit. About 30 seconds or so with 5 minutes left in the second. Looks like Laughton, TK, Kuzmenko, Drysdale, and Seeler were the guys on the ice with him for that shift.

So basically no opportunity to seek revenge against him personally. Could've taken a run at someone else to send a message I suppose. But it was 4th liner on 4th liner crime so to speak. I wonder if Imama didn't get any more shifts because they were concerned about revenge and the Flyers getting momentum from it. Or if it was punishment because it was a really dumb/costly penalty. But it could also be that he just isn't good. 7 games this year with an average of 5 minutes/game.

I miss the old Broad Street Bullies. They would not have tolerated that crap from any Shitsburgh player.

Also just to put a bow on the research, Poehling, Seeler, Drysdale, and Pelletier were the guys on the ice with Hathaway for the hit itself.
