We still haven't solved the problem of having three really small defenseman in our top 6.

Does anyone have a solution or do you want us to stay with all three.

Remember there are no bad answers to this just opinions.

I thought the plan was to get even smaller forwards so they don't look so small.

I would like to have at least a top pairing of some bigger, solid defenseman to play against some of the top offenses and then as long as the other guys are solid and can produce some offense well be okay, just a question of who those guys are.

No MacAvoy Thursday. That’s a big loss.
This isn't official yet, but Team USA is going to work out a way for Quinn Hughes to play. Watch it happen. Otherwise, this does definitely suck.

That said, our defense is pretty deep. Werenski averages nearly 27 minutes per game in the Nhl. He's under 20 in this tournament. Fox averages over 23 minutes per game in the Nhl and under 17 in the tournament. Hanifin is over 21 minutes per game with Vegas and again under 17 per game with Team USA. Faber could play more too and handle it just fine. Slavin is really our only defender playing his regular Nhl minutes.

The point is that other guys can pick up any slack if Sanderson has to play over McAvoy or Q. Hughes. Also, Canada lost Pietrangelo/Theodore, so no excuses, really.
