Not Neutral, that is a pic from a MC trip I did up the 191 (old 666) in AZ a few years back. We stopped at a friends cabin after riding and did some shooting and then some drinking. It was good memory. It is also very antithetical to how most view Stanford fans (hippie elitist) so I keep it around, shall I change it? Say something like this (since I am a teacher and all)?
FYI the Car was used as our spotter for the police. We all ride with radios in our Helmets.
That was quite a surprise when you first told us you had never attended a game. Someone as avid of a fan as you, to the point where you even created your own computer formulas for the stats just has to be a season ticket holder. Well at least one might guess that without other knowledge.Never been to a college game. Couldn't afford it when I was younger and living in state, moved to the west coast away for the past decade when I could afford it. Moved back to the southeast now and will be fixing that issue in the near future. My little brother goes to Alabama now, so hoping I can score some student tickets next year from him.
I was born an Alabama fan. People in my family are still born Alabama fans. Some of my earliest memories in life revolve around Alabama football. I can remember as a kid listening to my uncle reading a poem the year Alabama finally beat Auburn with Bo Jackson. I was too young to remember Bear even though he was a coach when I was a kid, but I remember lots of it after until present.

I sort of take it for granted I guess. I grew up going to Husky stadium every home game. Pretty sure wasn't much younger than 6 or 7 when I started going to most of the games. I was always surprised when my friends who liked football told me they had never been to one. I don't attend every game these days, but I still make most of them. I share my season tickets with my parents who no longer can go to more than 2-3 games a season. Cuts down on costs if we just split a set. Still I can't imagine a year where I didn't get out to the lake at least 3-4 times.
You are going to have to come up here and make a post about your first experience when you get to pop that cherry. I'm sure it will live up to your expectation and more.
By the way, had to read the line " People in my family are still born Alabama fans." at least twice. Somewhere in there is a bad joke about inbred still born children just waiting to happen.
I am interested in hearing the resumes of some of you other SportsHoopla fans. How long have you been going to games? What got you hooked? How many have you been to and what away stadiums have you been to?
Don't forget Reser. I like the vibe there. I haven't made it to the cali schools for a game. To be honest there are plenty of non Pac stadiums I'd love to visit, but would prefer to do so when UW isn't playing there. Just too many assholes in most stadiums to make it worth the expense. Smack talk is one thing, but I've seen too much that crosses that line and it just takes away from the fun of traveling to games. In the modern era of HD coverage and almost all games on TV there are far less incentives to go to out of town games.
Wiz, what other stadiums have you travelled to? Im sure you have been to Martin and it sounds like you have been to Autzen. Anywhere else? I recommend Stanford, its is a great venue, nice fans and very scenic.
On my bucket list is to attend a USC/Notre Dame game at ND, also maybe vs. Oregon and vs. Washington to see how loud those stadiums really are!!
When you come to Autzen you know you have friends there. You can tailgate with us any day.
That goes for any others coming to Autzen

Pretty sure the casting couch is in Tempe. Or at least the Phoenix area.

I agree about Reser, they can be cool. I usually have fun there, once in a while they cross the line, sometimes make inappropriate comments to my wife, but she is hot so we are just sorta used to it. One thing about Beaver fans, they LOVE to flip people off. Its like their favorite thing. Pay close attention next time you watch them on TV, you will see what I mean.
As far as travelling out of town, I wont go unless I am rolling at least 4-5 deep. It also helps a lot to have 2 guys bigger than most college lineman on either side of me, LOL.....
I always liked Sparky over Wilbur growing up, and I'm pretty sure that was the first unveiling than all the alumni freaked out and changed it to a more modest design of the old sparky while throwing in some new ideas.
College stadiums I have been to
Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State, Hawaii, Stanford, San Jose State, Fresno State, Idaho, Rose Bowl, Purdue, Minnesota, Tennessee, Army
That's quite the resume. You are not missing much by not going to Cal, but I hear great things about ASU. I am going next time we play there. All in all, you have a nice set list going. Keep it up!!
