THE PAC12 Thread

I hope for your sake it's either after the renovation or not in September. It's already 100+ degrees outside in September and it's about 10 degrees hotter inside the stadium. Those games can get pretty miserable if we're not winning.

It's a really great atmosphere when we have a good team but the Phoenix area is full of fairweather fans and we have trouble filling the stadium sometimes. The student section is always great though.

I took the wife (ASU alum) to the OSU@ASU game 2 yrs ago and instead of sitting in the crowded corner with the OSU fans, we sat across the field from them at about the 15-20 yard line. Got seats close to the front of the 2nd section back and would've had a great time if Mannion wasn't throwing the game away to ASU. All 1st half, he was hitting the ASU defenders between the #s and they kept dropping the ball. In the 2nd half, they started catching the ball and intercepted Mannion 5 or 6 times. I'm taking the wife again this year and won't be sitting in the corner. I'll try for closer to mid field and hope Mannion can actually throw the ball to the OR St teammates this time. Both of her sons are attending ASU at this time but they don't follow the sports teams. The older son could've graduated with 2 masters degrees but Intel hired him a couple yrs ago as an intern and he had to maintain student status to keep the job. He's currently one of the higher math tutors. The younger son is in law enforcement classes and most classes are at the downtown Phx campus.

I've been a USC fan since I was 8 years old, so 43 years!! I had just started my first year of Jr. All-American football, so I was also starting to watch games on t.v.!!

My Dad was given a couple of tickets to a USC game (don't even remember who they played) and took me. As an 8 year old, I was already amazed at the Coliseum and excited to see "real football payers", then the band started playing the fight song, saw Traveller running around the track, the team came out and I was hooked. Been a USC fan ever since.

I try to make at least one game every season. When I was in my 20's I saw them play in Sun Devil Stadium (learned that the females in the ASU student section are very friendly) and I have seen them play in the Rose Bowl a couple of times.

On my bucket list is to attend a USC/Notre Dame game at ND, also maybe vs. Oregon and vs. Washington to see how loud those stadiums really are!!

I would have to agree with you TF that AVOIDING Reser Stadium with your club would be in your best interest, unless you start to bleed a lil' orange.

I have ONLY BEEN TOO Reser and Autzen Stadiums, but the UW venue would top my "bucket list" of PAC stadiums to see. Terrific site that venue is on, not to mention what the city has to offer also.

I have ONLY BEEN TOO Reser and Autzen Stadiums, but the UW venue would top my "bucket list" of PAC stadiums to see. Terrific site that venue is on, not to mention what the city has to offer also.

That damn place has too much weird crap that happens to USC when we show up to play there!! Don't know what it is, but even when we get out of there with a win, it feels more like an escape than a win!!

Bet a guy wif a pair could get premium seats for next to nothing tomorrow...

I for one will seek refuge in a local sports bar and watch the games indoors or next to a fireplace somewhere.

I like watching those games with lots of rain (unless USC is playing)!! Lots of crazy stuff happens!!

It's why I picked Cal for the pickum. Not that I think they have a chance to beat Oregon this year. But the heavy rain will slow the offenses down and TO potential goes up for both teams.

Remember WSU is playing at the Clink in Seattle, not in eastern WA. The Stanford game will be the same nasty weather. It's a night game and it will be just as bad as the other NW games.
