But yes. I will be eating @ Dicks. Gluttony people... Gluttony...

You shut your goddman mouth Mamba. There are still 8 more years left on the Dicks Moratorium.

so you brought up a point about the team you are a bandwagon fan of that no one here actually made and questioned it. Thanks for clearing that up for us.

I love when people call out fans for being "bandwagon fans." As if to assume that every idiot barking in purple at Husky games are UW alums? Hardly. Does this also mean my 13 year old is a Bandwagon fan because she didn't go to Oregon either? I didn't play baseball in the A's farm system, so am I a bandwagon fan? Just what exactly is the definition?

Everyone on these forums, and every sports fan in the world has specific reasons why they root for certain teams, this is what makes us ALL fans. Period. Some people are geographical when deciding this, others find a time they like for other reasons. My wife isn't the biggest baseball fan, but she is a huge duck fan being from Eugene, and likes the Oakland A's because of the colors, and she just became an Eagle fan simply because of Chip Kelly. Is she a bandwagon fan?

I started watching Breaking Bad halfway through the 4th season, am I a Bandwagon viewer?

Born and raised in Eugene my dad is an alumnus of Oregon. I have been going to games since I was in the womb. I used to direct and park cars in the lot so that I could get in to games even though we missed the first quarter. I used to help clean the stands so that I could go to the next home game.
but yeah since I didn't go there I must be a bandwagon fan.

I went to a small college because what I do is not main stream and when I graduated college there was only 1 school nationally that offered a BS level degree.

That's awesome Oly.....some HS classmates of mine did the cleaning thing also, and I have some other friends that parked cars (back when we had a lot to park them in....see PK park, soccer field, etc LOL)

I actually became a fan in 1997 after getting out of the ARMY. I chose Oregon so I could stay close to my parents, and after I went to my first game, I was hooked. Started Tailgating in 1999 and that's when I met Mamba, funny story how we met actually, next home game I will tell you.

My daughter was born in 2000 and her first game was that year as well. She has made it to about 15 games so far, and my wife (whom I met at a home game as well) and I have a Duck in the womb as well, already been to 2 games this year.

My total game count is over 115 games by now. I bet Mamba has the actual count. In addition to almost every home game since 1999, we have made 7-8 trips to Seattle including the Seattle bowl (barf), 6-7 trips to Pullman, 2 trips to Cal, 2 to Stanford and 9 to OSU. Also a few bowl games, and I know I am leaving something out, just cant remember it.

I am interested in hearing the resumes of some of you other SportsHoopla fans. How long have you been going to games? What got you hooked? How many have you been to and what away stadiums have you been to?

Hey dumbass, where did you get that new logo and fancy uniform overhaul? Oh that's right, NIKE.

Looks like he's your uncle too.....poor, poor barkrats. If I were you I would sell that degree back to OSU, its obviously worthless.

Typical Smuck response to my muse...Fact is you are not me so what the hell DO YOU KNOW? Coming from a Mamba "peabro" who failed to graduate from anything except throwing up his Dick's double cheese during a drunken binge in Seattle after a Cyrus Miley concert ONLY tells me "You can't fix stupid".:suds:

Now run along and I'll leave you with this advice..."Save a tree and eat a shaved beaver IF you can find one".:laugh3:

So you come up here and attack everyone you can whether you know anything about them or not, call them names, cuss at them, but if someone else talks smack to someone they actually know you are morally outraged. You need to learn the difference between people picking on those they know and actual real talk. He talked smack, I said something back. It's kind of how these forums work man. Deal with it.

based on a OOC record of 3-0 with the expectation that Utah can get 3 more wins somewhere. it will probably come down to that final game of the season that decides that.

I think you need to get off my nutsack Wiz. I am not morally outraged at all, just making a comment about your choice of words, that's all. Back off of me, your breath stinks.

Sutton and Bradford were forces last year now they are having disappointing seasons.

Bradford was a monster in the second half against Stanford and he got a few good hits on the QB against Wisconsin forcing hurried throws. He also single handedly stopped their two point conversion attempt that would have tied the game. Sutton has been playing 3 technique NT most of the year and his job has been to plug holes and force double teams. When we put 380 lb Mo Latu in at NT in the second half against Stanford Sutton started to get the same penetration we were seeing last year.

Right, so you are allowed to comment on anything you like, but Husky fans are not. Got it.

That's what he was when the season started. Graham wanted him to lose about 20 pounds before he saw any serious playing time but after his performance against Stanford and with one of our starters being hurt I think he'll play a lot against USC.

Truth be told I am 4th generation Stanford. My great granddad was in one of the first graduating classes in the engineering program around 1903 (back when Stanford was free). Both of my grandfathers went there, my dads dad was on the baseball team. My dad did his BS and MS there, my sister did her BA and PHD there, and I did my BA at Stanford class of '94. I actually lived next to Coach Shaw for 2 years, and he was roommates with one of my fraternity brother's (Stenstrom the QB at the time).

I do not remember a time when I wasn't a Stanford fan. I just never thought I would get in. When I applied to colleges I went with the USAF Academy, USC, Boulder and Stanford. When I got in to LSJU there was no question where I would go. Worked a 90lb jackhammer 10 hours a day every summer to pay for school. I was lucky enough to play lacrosse and rugby while I was there.

Growing up in Kirkland as a Stanford fan was hellish at best. My first Stanford games were at Husky stadium during the Don James era. I still have vivid memories of the year Elway beat UW (1982). My dad had a bet with out neighbors who were Husky boosters. Poor rich guy had to mow our lawn for a month.

TL;DR Life Long Stanford Homer.

Also, for the WSU fans, Stanford will be without All American Guard David Yankey. He has had to fly home for family issues.

This is why I normally wait until at least Thursday to put in my picks for the week. Never know when an injury or leave is going to happen. Wouldn't you know I put mine in early this week.

How deep is the line this year? Given the power running how big of a setback would you expect his absence to be?
