It was a semi-long shot. Sac St. was a respectable FCS program. The point spread was big enough to make it enticing, but knew it was a gamble.

You knew ASU was going to want to use the 1st half as experience reps for their O and D so they weren't going to call off the dogs, even if the score got out of hand.
ASU has a pretty tough schedule this year and the 2013 PAC12 south champ is open between them and USC & UCLA. They'd love to crash the PAC12 champ game.

I'll own that weekly pickum avatar at least once this season.

I'm doing a 5 pork butt smoker burn tonite that will feed 50 people on SAT...People "LIKEY" ol Wub's smoked meats, makes for good eats and times I spose....words gettin out there. I'll "burn" 2 more @ Boys Weekend(tm) 8 days from now. Couple THAT wif cousin Reeder's world famous "Mia Tias" and LOOK OUT BABY!! 3 different rums, grenadine and GOD knows what else...2 drink max and Reeder cutz ya off...HA!

Don't worry Regent, half these "azzclowns" haven't a clue beting against point spreads. Most of the time the "dog" covas and I could see making an early season play on one of em. Better to lose early than late in the season, RIGHT? Now go out there and "kick em in the nutz"!

I was just trying to be funny. It wasn't a dig at you, it was a dig at the other guy in that other thread who was saying that people were punishing TCU after they lost to LSU and why would TCU ever play another game like that if people punished them for losing.
